I don't think it's intentional, rather there is an error with the promotion algorithm and as such it takes a certain amount of losses before one is eligible to move up. They say that one needs to have >50% win rate before they are eligible to be promoted, and so just by winning the first game a player will have 100% win rate, so perhaps they need a player to have played a certain number to be promoted, but rather than have "number of games played", they chose "number of losses" | ||
