I'm in a complicated situation. I don't know if i am going to Korea this summer or not. It all depends on whether this school I applied to in Korea will accept me or not. The bad part is, I find out on August 18. Thats almost a month to wait and possibly more if I found out I'm staying in the States. THe most I will stay is until November or sometime in Winter before I have to go back to Korea. So my question is, should I buy SC2 here, or wait and go buy it in Korea? My laptop can't play sc2, which sucks because i bought it for $400 bucks at last Black Friday. I thought it was good, but the graphics card is really shitty and i only get 20-30 fps on low. So, I played the beta at the university. The computers there were good and if i do buy sc2, i will play it there. Also, I heard that if i buy the game here, I can't play it in Korea when i go back since the locked regions thing. What should I do?

My advice: wait till you know if you're going to korea or not. If you are, play it in pc bongs (not the best solution, but when in Rome...). If you're not, then just buy it and play it on the university's computers (they let you play games on their computers/you can get away with it? Daaannggg... I'm grateful my college barely lets us use youtube!).
BTW... foreigners can go to university in korea?

No, Im Korean, and living in US right now. It's like a university public computer room. People not going to college there go there to use the computers for whatever reason they want. Im so anxious though, I really want to play sc2 right now. But yeah, i think it would be smarter to wait

Yeah it would be smarter to wait, if Blizzard wasn't so gay you could just buy it now and don't have to worry about anything. Anyway I hope everything goes good for you ^_^!

Thanks, yeah I hate Blizzard and their regional locking system. But I hate how I gotta wait to play sc2 now. I was having withdrawl symptoms during beta break. Now, its gonna be more serious haha

Erm...IIRC the Korea version will have access to the American region

Could you maybe try getting a Southeast Asia/Australia edition? That way you could play on the US Server while in the US on either the US or SEA while in South Korea. I know SK is really in the Asia region, but pardon my ignorance, it's not too far from SEA either ping wise right? (dunno if latency actually works this way so I may be totally wrong!)
Couldn't you still play in Korea with the US edition? You'd just have to play on US servers still which may or may not have lag from over there.

For anyone in the U.S who hasn't bought SC2 Yet. K-mart is offering a $20 gift card when you purchase it over there.
Basically the best deal out there right now.

A $20 gift card? wow. I didn't know K-mart was still going either. I haven't seen one in forever.

That is a good deal, but yeah K-Mart just died after Wal-mart became big
