Hm.. its late here in Germany I was thinking about life and stuff, and I just realized that I just have a single dream.
Playing Music. Im one of the who are love to listen to musicgenres like Post-hardcore or Hardcore punk.I love how singers put all their emotions in their screams, screaming their despair into the mic. When I visit concerts,im one of the ones who are complety in a rush, rocking to the music, people who run into every wall of death & circle pits screaming the songs the band plays.
Now my early chillhood(im still 15,so still a child I guess) was pretty fucked up,never talked to my mother since 5 years or something, and alot of other.. well sucki things. I would like to play music infront of people this time I wanna be the one who screams his feelings to the people.
But I have the feeling im just dreaming and I dont have the resources to realize this dream.I dont got a band, most of my friends dont listen to the music I do,and the friends I have dont play guitar or something.I played drums a few years back then I was 10 or 9,but I stopped it(now I regret it,but back then music wasen't importment to me like today). But thats not I want anyways.I wanna sing the songs, not sitting on the drums. But my family dont got enough money to support for singing classes or something. Im not really looking for suggetions or something, but im just well maybe you have some similiar stories from dreams you have which you cant realize.
ps Sorry for my bad english,im 15 and english isint my first language.I still hope you can understand the stuff I wrote.

I can empathize with this. When I was young I used to have some trouble speaking because of stuttering and the like. So I never really sang when I young, though I did play the piano. I didn't take singing lessons, but I did join the middle school chorus since trying out new things is good, right? Afterward, for the rest of high school I just liked singing songs. My room at school was never quiet, since my roommate and I liked harmonizing.
This probably isn't the thing to do with songs that involve uh, screaming, but the general idea is the same. You can find a lot of stuff online, maybe some free lessons or something. And the best thing, in my opinion, is to just sing if you like singing. Who cares if it sounds good? If it's what you enjoy, go for it.

I agree in that if you have a passion you should pursue it but be advised its EXTREMELY hard to get anywhere and earn a decent profit with music.

I dont have a long and insightful response but I just want you to know that wanting to be seen and having problems expressing yourself while dreaming of just screaming your thoughts out so that people understand is normal at your age. Sure your situation might be a little bit diffrent given your family problems but I just want you to know this: what you are feeling is not odd or wierd, this is all a process of finding out who you really are, your own identity

Thanks for the responses.
@Flamewheel I also have some trouble speaking, but im not really stuttering,im just talking verrrry fast sometimes, but sometimes I speak like any other, its kinda weird. We dont got things like chorus on our school but I guess I should google for some learning tipps online.I also enjoy singing of course, and I sing along many songs while I listen to them.
@Subleart Yeah, but its not that I want to be popular or something. It dosen't matter if I play in front of thousand people,or just 20.As long one guy stands there and rocks to my songs im happy.
@Julmust Thanks,I never saw it that way,but youre completly right.

Singing lessons aren't necessarily the most important thing in the universe. If you can manage to find some money for a mic or something (anything to hear yourself, really), you can work towards making yourself sound better. It's how I did it.
But it's probably a fair bit different if you're trying to get into the really scream-ish stuff (like Amon Amarth or, even scarier, Nile and the like). I'm pretty sure you can destroy your voice if you do it wrong.
And another note, like was already mentioned, it's hard to get far in music. Personally, I never had huge ambitions to get into the music industry or anything like that. I'm perfectly content just playing for myself or small groups of people.
Whichever route you take, I wish you all the best.

I wasn't aware that singing lessons were required for someone to scream into a microphone? I assume anyone with vocal chords could achieve the same thing. Other than that, goodluck with whatever you persue.
