Hi everyone, I need some advices.
I hate to sound cliched, but I want to lose weight. I count my calories and exercise 45 minutes a day. Well, the recents were not very significant, let's put it that way.
I think I also need some external boosts - some sort of diet pills, maybe, if they exist at all. But I am totally lost on this because I don't know anything about weight loss medicines...
If you know anything about this, it would be much appreciated!

how long have you been doing it?
what exercises have you been doing? how's your diet been, what have you been eating?
i wouldn't recommend diet pills / thermogenics until you've actually made some progress

you should show more information its too broad what you just said... then we can help a bit more look up for the fitness/bodybuilding forum.. remember there is a SEARCH function..

You could take Ephedrine with Caffeine and Aspirin if you're desperate.
It's also illegal and causes heart attacks.
Seriously, there's virtually no diet medicine you can take to help you lose weight. If there were, people would just buy those pills and no one would be overweight. The only thing that works is burning more calories than you consume. This is usually achieved through a combination of a good diet and an increase in exercise/physical activity.

not a medicine, but try drinking tons of green tea?

Have you considered the Hollywood treatment?

It's free .

What're you doing for exercises, and what's your diet like?
|
I have a cyling machine at home. I use it for 45 minutes (it's one of the built-in modules).
I eat.... normal stuffs. I try to eat less than 1600 calories each day, but this can be slightly off when I am cooking myself.
|
You probably need to clean up your diet more. If you don't really care about adding muscle while losing weight low carb is probably the easiest way to go. There's also a book called "Rapid fat loss" by Lyle McDonald that works really fast but it's REALLY hard to do and it isn't healthy (it's probably the healthiest fast weight loss diet that works though). Not trying to advertise or anything and I don't think they have a big effect but http://www.tmuscle.com/readArticle.do?id=1066793 stuff like is probably what you're looking for if you want supplements, there are probably other products similar to this but I frequent T nation so that's the only one I know of. I'd still reccomend you reevaluate your diet before buying stuff you don't really need.

Hmm I've only dealt with body fat reduction, where there's a specific ratio of proteins/carbs/fats you want in your diet to maximize fat loss, though I'm not sure if this applies to general weight loss. I've tried a 40% protein/30% carb/30% fat ratio for my calories and it turned out great. It's kind of tough keeping your diet accurate to those percentages, so if anything, just try to eat more protein =)

If you aren't doing weightlifting exercises it's better if you do HIIT for fatloss, also any cardio exercise works better in a fasted state so morning before breakfast is the way to go.

If you are not seeing any results you are eating too much (probably) or not working out enough (less likely). Weight loss is that simple. Calories used > calories eaten = weight loss.
|
Weight lifting makes you hella hungry, moreso than cardio in my experience. So if you really just want to lose weight and don't care about muscle just eat less cadio more (but not too much because you will get way too hungry to stop yourself from gorging i.e. like 1 hour max per day). I noticed that the first few weeks of weight loss are the toughest, just from the food standpoint. You have to treat it like drug rehab. You will feel terrible, you will feel hungry, but you must overcome. Eventually after 1.5 weeks your stomach will actually shrink and you will have less of an appetite. Also eat things that make you feel full but aren't bad for you. So don't eat carbs but eat lots of lean meat and lots of apples (yes apples make you feel full) and soups (also make you feel full). Of course if you want to make a life style change that's another story...

how long have you been exercising ?
|
I don't really care about building muscle.
Maybe I am eating too much! I'll be more strict from now on.

I find that generally people that want to lose weight for the wrong reasons struggle with it, such as those that think they're inadequate to a women in their current state or suffering from other self-esteem related issues. You should want to lose weight just to be generally fit and healthier, you'll also feel great once you've lost it no doubt but you've got to want to do it for yourself though.
Anyhow, look into Clenbuterol or Duromine (google/wiki), if you can get access to them (talk to a doctor) and are exercising regularly and eating well you'll see great results. Also remember that lifestyle is an important factor and things like stress/alcohol can have negative effects on weight loss, resting well helps a lot so make sure you get an adequate amount of sleep.

1. Lift heavy weights 2, Eat more protein
3. Healthy fats and protein are more FILLING FOODS which should help you eat less. Vege are also not dense kcals either.
If you're eating anything processed it's likely calorie dense and not going to help you lose weight... in addition tot he excess carbs.
|
How long have you been doing it? Just lift weights before cardio and do intervals 4 times a week ~1 hour workout and in a month you should be 10 pounds lighter. Muscles burn fat like crazy, so even if you don't care about building muscles, lifting weights and getting some muscle will help you lose weight more than just straight cardio.
As for the topic, I'd talk to your physician tbh and see what they have to say about it. I was in the same boat, and there are usually no noticeable results for ~2 weeks and third week is when you drop a couple pounds. If you've been going longer than that, it's easy to fall in the "well I'm exercising so that means I can eat more!" trap.

It's not illegal, you just have to sign your name when you buy it because it's an ingredient in Meth. It's banned from being sold as a dietary supplement because people abused it and died.
Here's a good link for more information: http://www.hotnfit.com/ecstack.htm
I wouldn't take it if you can't eat clean (no fast food or high sodium products at all), and you should follow what the site says exactly, and stop taking it if your body tells you to.

keep up the exercise, walking counts (30+ minutes 3+ times per week) eat no amount of junk food or "empty" calories whatsoever - only fruit, vegetables, lean meat, maybe some grains, this sort of thing
you really don't need supplements or medicine to be healthy and/or lose weight, it is quite counterproductive in most cases. if you do decide to go that route anyway, I'd advise you to talk to a doctor first.

coffee and cigarettes. went from 210 to 117 in 4 months. not saying its healthy or anything, but neither is being obese.
|
adderall (or just straight up meth). stop drinking water, it makes u weigh more. only eat celery. wear 5 sweaters all the time. and yeah start smoking cigs. and at least 2 pots of coffee a day.
|
Instead of dieting or exercising more, try changing the food you eat. Having low fat in food does not mean that the food tastes bad. Try eating Chinese, Indian, or any sort of Asian/Middle Eastern food. The reason you don't see very many obese Asians is that their food does not contain much sugar or grease, but they do contain a lot of spices and sodium. If you consisitantly eat a lot of food, your metabolism would increase as well. This method will take you longer to lose weight than using diet pills or going on a strict diet/exercise, but it's healthy and risk free, and you get good food at the same time.

I started eating Primal a couple of days ago. Haven't seen a major difference yet in weight or energy, but I'll check again in a month.
The premise of this diet (more like lifestyle) is to eat like we did 10,000 years ago, since our bodies work identically and respond to the same stimulus like they did back then.
Basically you cut out all grains and legumes (since they are inedible, and, in many cases, toxic) in their natural forms. Then cut your carb intake to between 50-100g/day for fat loss or 100-150g for consistent weight. Humans survived well on just 80g of carbs/day back then. Your sources of carbs are vegetables and fruits.
The diet is also flexible. You can eat however much you want, whenever you want and don't need to follow everything to a tee to get results. If it's too much to swallow, just eliminating processed carbs and choosing free-range, grass-fed meat will make you much healthier.
even if you don't take this advice, I strongly suggest making an acct on fitday.com and start recording what you eat. it takes 10 seconds to do and will help you be accountable for what you put in your body.

okay, i can be here a little while longer. let me right a little bit more detailed post on how to lose weight fast. it's not even remotely healthy, so i'm probably going to get hated on but whatever.
walk fucking everywhere, hour to work? do it, faggot. feel hungry? remind yourself how every respectable girl will laugh at you the second you take off your shirt. that doesnt help? smoke a cigarette when you get hungry, i'm pretty sure it's an appetite suppressant. drink coffee, it also staves off hunger. had too much coffee? getting jittery? make a pot of coffee, pour a cup, and just smell it, always made me not hungry. need some inspiration? http://lookbook.nu/ lurk it everytime you feel hungry, until you arent anymore. if you really MUST eat due to lack of energy/omg im gonna pass out, eat an apple, or grapes.
i don't do any of this anymore, because after i lost all the ridiculous weight, i just started eating healthy, and started working out.
good luck dood.

QFT !
basically, stay away from sugar in its refined form. try to eat more chicken, turkey, fish, beef, fruits, veggies, nuts, beans, and water.
any exercise is good, even small amounts. the key is to be consistent. if you are lazy, weights are great because they tire you out quickly and have an amazing effect on the body.
good luck and keep it at , it will take months to notice a visual effect on your body, so dont give up.

I think this is great advice actually. OP doesn't care about preserving muscle so realistically you can eat as little calories as you want. Of course it's not very healthy but after he reaches the target weight, he can resume (or start for the first time) a sound diet and lifestyle.
The whole don't eat too many calories under maintenance or get enough protein is not even applicable here.

plus, once north korea nukes south korea, and the entire world is thrown into a nuclear holocaust, you'll be adjusted to not eating anything in a post apocalyptic environment. i really think it's a win win situation.
