Lol this was from a beta key contest...anyways let's say I want to change the gray background to purple, how do I do that...or is that not possible?
Oh by the way I have Photoshop CS4, and please tell me instead of doing it for me, I want to learn

Or you can do what issorlol mentioned. transparent background overlay on a layer of the background selected using the magic wand + lasso. | ||

Well, if you've got CS5 you can just select the letters than when you hit delete, the default option will be to replace the deleted section with some automatic guess of what the software thinks it should be based on it's surroundings. It works pretty well although almost always needs a bit of reworking. If you don't have CS5 what would could do is try to use the Clone Stamp Tool (shortcut: S) to try and replace it manually by just copying others parts of the nearby background on top of it. | ||
