Additionally, it can be difficult to have extraordinary amounts of fun in small towns like that. Why not look for a job in Austin? I live there and I fucking love it.

I'd read a lot and maybe try to pick up a foreign language. These are the last prime years of your ability to pick up new things. Get money. Fuck bitches. And you'll have both a little down the road. (Texas ftw btw.)

1. Exercise a lot. 2. Hike a lot. (There is almost endless back country and trails to explore, and since it's in BC there's tons of nifty things like Grow ops, abandoned cabins, and the like all over the place.) 3. If you are a nightowl like me, walk around town at night. There's something eerie but simply amazing about standing in the center of a town without a soul around. Fortunately on my island there is next to no risk of being mugged/murdered/robbed, but this may be different where you are. I'm not sure if many of those will be applicable since the place where I live is pretty unique, but hopefully it gives a few ideas. As for meeting others, there are usually several different cliques which occur at different times in different places (Morning Coffee, Lunch Break, Afternoon Cocktails, Beers after work, you get the idea), so find one which is good for you and slowly work your way into the crowd. As above, I highly reccomend you get into exercising if you aren't already. It's tedious at first, but there are so many benefits, and if you are in a similar situation to me, there is always lots of free time. gl hf.

your optimism is encouraging. I wouldn't try TOO too hard to meet people, but don't like sit around and do nothing. try to keep yourself entertained and good things will come. also see if they have a club area, those are always nice, though not the 6th street that you're used to

I mean, I walked out of college with no debt and a great job. Definitely wouldnt be possible if I didnt get help. Time to pay it forward in my opinion. Thanks for the advice guys. Hopefully I can find a small group of people that play golf or tennis and I can hang out with them.
