Gah... this thread... so much nostalgia. I don't know how "Zanarkand" hasn't been mentioned yet... it's some of Uematsu's best stuff. It's such a shame that Uematsu doesn't do all of the FF music anymore. The guy is a genius. | ||

normally that'd be something fanboyish id say about a series just changing its music for whatever reason but the gameplay did an about flip with ff12 and ff13 is still a gimped version of the old games :/ rpgs need to hurry the fuck up and catch up with what they were doing 10-12 years ago, why are the best rpgs all games from 90s and early 00s? seriously though, ff music is amazing and hopefully the next single player ffs have nobuo composing. i still listen to the ff7-x osts like every day. FF12-FF13 didn't even have bad soundtracks, they were just an entirely different flavour. | ||

I love the music in the Final Fantasy series - Clash on the Big Bridge and Dancing Mad come to mind especially as some of Nobuo's best work. I think there are some real gems that people tend to overlook in some of the earlier games (FF2/3 come to mind) but I don't really blame them since the games didn't come out in the West. | ||

heres my favourite track from ff3, most underrated ff song I think. and while we're on underrated songs i think the wall market theme from ff7 is way underrated. i dont think any song in the whole series fits the atmosphere of an area better than this one | ||

I dunno man, the PS1 remix of Lunar was not as good as the original in my opinion, I'll do another play through as it's been a long time.
