The way it works is that if it's touching the air, it keeps you pretty cool, almost on the border of cold. If there's anything over it though (the under armor is not exposed to the air), you get very warm.

http://www.2xu.com/compression/ They are amazing for doing exercises like squats/deadlifts/running & cycling. The ones I have get rid of lactic acid a lot faster so your recovery time is quicker, they also allow you to go longer before fatigue kicks in. The other thing they do is stop your muscles from too much vibration and jiggling avoiding injuries with fast movement. They are kind of tight, but they do not restrict blood flow at all, if anything they improve it, they also dissipate heat and sweat faster keeping you cool, but it doesn't seem to have the opposite effect if it's cold. You actually get colder.

If you have cash to throw around and you want it more for looks then I say go for it, but if you expect it to increase your performance I would say nay. I thoroughly enjoy posts like these by people who only want to bash on something because it's considered mainstream. I was skeptical at first, too, but once I used it (wrestling, volleyball, football) I became sold on it. It really whisks away the sweat and keeps you cool (or warm, as is the case when running in winter). Summary: Don't judge people on what they wear when you haven't even tried it yourself. He wasn't asking whether he would look cool, he was asking whether it worked. And as mentioned earlier as well, there's more than just UA on the market. Try finding the best price for what you need.

It spreads out the sweat more which makes it evaporate quicker, helps with circulation and keeping yoru body cooler actually (even if it seems like the opposite) I like this stuff my only issue is a lot of the times its overpriced but it IS good, I would recommend having like 2-3 shirts and just washing them often, but don't go overboard.
