EPTSo thursday, me and my friend sleep until 10-11am and wake up feeling great, we go into gothenburg city and meet upp with vilda and her boyfriend. Had some pizza and spent some time with them before we went to get drunk. We end up at this irish pub, Dubliners. Sat down, had a couple of beers and sing along with a couple of irish guys (I love irish music, so I know alot of drinking songs).
After a while we realize that we have to get moving to the festival area and we get there like 20 minutes before flogging molly comes on, so we get another beer and just chill out. Still manage to get into the area in front of the stage. So the band comes and out instant fucking chaos. Mosh pits, people dancing and singing along. Man this is the second time I've seen flogging molly and they're always so fucking awesome. Their gig is only an hour long, but after 30 minutes I lost my voice but I kept on jumping and screaming anyway.
Next up: Rise Against.
Now I havent listend to rise against that much, but my god do they have crazy fans! We didnt go into the area right infront of the stage so we ended up like 50 meters from it. During the first two songs the ground shiverd. It was like a smaller earthquake. You stood there and just felt yourself going up and down. Just a awesome show with alot of cool people.
Last, but definatly not least: Dropkick Murphys
I've heard from friends that murphys shows can get fucking crazy but this was beond my highest expectation. First song comes on and me and my friend starts to jump. And what happens? He wacks me, right in the face, with his elbow. But who am I to complain? I just laugh it off and we keep on going. Now during Flogging Molly there was moshpit but during the first 10 minutes of Murphys the entire area was a fucking moshpit. Your only goal was to remain standing, or else you'd surely die.
So today I wake up and my legs hurt from all the jumping, my ribs also hurts alot and I suspect I might've gotten a smaller concussion from getting everything from my friends elbow to a crowdsurfing guys ass in my face. I told one of my more "mature" friends about this and he said: "Oh, I'm sorry. So the night wasnt good?" I looked at him like he was a freak and explained to him that it was a fucking awesome night!
