Lately I have been dreaming about Starcraft 2. Literally dreaming about it.
What, specifically is it that gets me so hot?
Well when I close my eyes I picture one of two things;
The first is that most beautiful of sights, a siege tank stopping and stretching out its massive metallic legs; it's long and efficient explodey shooter deploying outwards towards the sun. I like to imagine it's my first siege tank and I am setting it up on the ridge that overlooks my natural... mmm...
The other, something decidedly less important. A supply depot. That's right, just a sexy little supply depot being built at the choke. It's not baneling bust proof or any thing... it's just a normal little supply depot. I guess it's important to keep in mind that without a supply depot you can't make any thing else. If the barracks is the mother of your marine than the supply depot is his father.
I don't know why I can't stop thinking about that little thing...
I tried to play Sc1 to tide me over but that it felt so slowwwwww.
And yes, I know that Sc1 is objectively probably a better game but I just don't think it's for me.
Starcraft 2, please come back...

SC1 is suppose to be more fast paced.
also the assumption of having a thread closed alone is bannable i think >_>

I remember when I was a newbie, it was so slow, i had time to do everything, I played with my mouse only, and the game was so slow that I didnt even need the keyboard

slow? broodwar is fast pace
plus sc2 "1a + less apm" is slow to me.

Well, to be fair, probes move faster in SC2

man, i remember dreaming of SC 2 as well. Like it made me literally think why the hell I'm playing terran and all of a sudden I am playing terran when beta came out.
love the explodey thingy my siege tanks so erect like my obelisk!

Well I thought this thread was actually kinda funny but who am I to question the powers that be?
Also I played sc1 for like four hours last night and found it to be quite enjoyable but very overwhelming.
It is more frenetic and difficult but yes, definitely
slower. Buildings seem
to build slower and mid/late game set in much slower too.

Well I am certianly no expert on sc1 by any means but I am not the first to think that sc1 had a more deliberate pacing.
I have literally played sc1 for four or five hours total so don't blame me if my first impressions aren't 100% accurate.

Are you playing the computer? Because the game doesn't set itself to Fastest automatically.

I hate having to press the (+) button to make it faster. I wish they just had the damn fastest option as the default.
