Hopefully, the blog title didn't mislead anyone; I'm not even sure of the genres I'm looking for. I tried to think of terms that were as close as possible to my requests.
So I've been looking for more of 3 types of music, and of course I turn to TL for help.
Part 1
DJ Sharpnel - Blue Betrayal
I came across this song via Stepmania and the part of this song that I love start around 2:05 and goes till around 2:50. The second part that I love starts at 3:40 and goes till whenever. You can just listen to those parts, but I recommend that you listen through the entire song because there are parts that buildup to the those especially awesome parts, making them even better
Now, I think this is called hardstyle electronic, although I'm not sure. I'm looking for other songs or artists that have similar styles. I've listened to a lot of other Sharpnel songs, but none of them are like this one....
Part 2
Draigun - Kidney Stone
Came across this one playing FFR. I'm looking for more fast paced electronic/techno/whatever-this-is that is driven mostly by the bassline. The one part I especially love starts at :43 and goes till 1:01. Notice the part from :47 to 1:01 - an good example of what I'm looking for. Again, I recommend that you listen from beginning to end to get the full feel. It's only 2 minutes long. Oh, and this song will probably not sound very good unless you have subs. Even a small one will do :D
Part 3
Lamb of God - Ruin
Ok I need some epic slow and heavy breakdowns, like that seen at 3:21. The buildup to this part is from 2:48. I don't even know if my terminology is correct. I know TL can do well in this department.
lol DJ Sharpnel The first song you posted wasn't hardstyle, since songs considered hardstyle have a much slower and different sounding beat than that. Hardstyle is more along the lines of this (but you'll probably like this too):
Anyways, the first song was you posted was definitely gabber, which has a fast beat made of distorted kick drums and usually have a nice breakdown. These are some examples:
These one might be closer to your second song. These are considered freeform hardcore, which is kind of like a mix of hardcore/trance (lots of synths with a fast beat), also accompanied with a cool breakdown:
And I don't listen to metal that much so I can't suggest much.
Hopefully these are close to what you want. If they are, I can recommend a lot of artists similar. If I'm totally off the mark, then oops :x
@zZygote Those 3 songs were pretty awesome. I like the 2nd and 3rd ones you posted the best. Do you have some more recommendations?
@LSB I liked those 2 as well. :D I'll check out more by those artists.
@Crimson Heh well those were interesting
@boesthius You hit the spot; those are the breakdowns I'm looking for. Gonna download a couple of their albums now
@triangle Heh I knew of that song from FFR. Good stuff.
@Realpenguin Thanks for clearing things up, now I know what I'm looking for. The stuff you posted were all great, gonna try to find these albums. Oh, and bonus points for throwing in a Touhou doujin song in there, even though I could barely figure out where the melody of 遠野幻想物語 was used. Was is just those beginning 25 seconds plus any subsequent parts that used the same/similar line? Anyways, it was good that you posted this song because it reminded me that I had downloaded a ton of Alice's Emotion stuff a long time ago, but never really listened to it. I went back and listened through most of it and found some stuff I liked (mostly by Betwixt & Between :D )
The melody from 遠野幻想物語 seems to also be played in the background of the entire song (very quietly though)
Usually the only stuff I like on Alice's Emotion albums are by Betwixt & Between too, haha.
Here's some doujin circles/labels you'd probably like, and their best albums: HARDCORE TANO*C - Hardcore Syndrome 1-3, Speed Ball Z Notebook Records - Muscari C.H.S - 108 Sketches 1-2, Unconnected.
Yeah, I can't think of many circles that primarily produce gabber, but these would be the closest. Chances are if you like gabber you'll like the other stuff on the albums too (mostly happy/UK hardcore)
I can also PM you a good site for finding doujin albums if you'd like.
Your videos sound more like uh....whats the genre called x.x I haven't listend to this music in years, but its more Hardscape than Hardstyle. Hardstyles BPM is a lot lower.
