the best gift for a women is to remember those little things that she told you she liked and actually show that you listened... simple? NO because it's freaking hard to remember those things.
In general, taking her out for a nice dinner and just bringing her home is best... don't go overboard...
remember don't bring her expectations too high, just high enough for her to be pleased enough to you know... do w/e you want her to

But really, if you're her friend, you should have a rough idea of what to get her already. Some inside joke or reference, something that you know she'll appreciate. A book, concert tickets, a DVD of an old, nostalgic movie. The best thing you can do is personalize it.

A good gift would be something that she wants for herself, but would probably never actually get for herself. Complicated. Something she always wished she had, but just sorta never bought herself.

dude is not that hard, ask any woman, do they have enough shoes? they never have enough, and its the same with the following:
- shoes ( this one is tricky)
- jewerly
- bags
- earrings
- cosmetics
- clothes (this one is tricky, you really need to know her very well)

a skirt, to my gf, i did know her very well of course, and she love it
a small kit of earrings,
a bag
of course most of this will work with woman with age between 15-26
but remember they NEVER have enough stuff.

Yeah flowers don't do shit. I've been with my girlfriend for more than a year and have never gotten her flowers. When she complains I just remind her that if I got her flowers they would be eating shit right now, and instead she is wearing the nice pair of shorts/boots/ect I got her.
