I've been watching a lot of The Mentalist lately, and in fact have plowed through all but the last 2-3 episodes in less than a month, after I finished with English One Piece. This followed my 7-season slug-fest with NCIS, which lasted about 2-3 months.
I've got to say, The Mentalist is not quite as good as NCIS. It's different. The characters are growing on me, but they don't have the same familiar feel as the NCIS team does. Also I just plain love the dynamic between McGee and DiNozzo in NCIS. Unfortunately that has seemed to have died down in the past season, with McGee getting more respect ("probie" era is over), but whatever. I guess the real story is that in the past six months I've discovered the police procedural TV show format.
edit: And in MMA news I just realized Anderson Silva started doing his mid-fight dances way back against Rich Franklin in their rematch. I thought that started with Griffin, had no idea it went back that far.
