Each game is a major title, so there'e no weird underground shit that you would never guess.

What is he collecting pieces of?

Number 2 you could get from googling sort of, I didn't bother searching deeper because I don't know other 4 and I have homework to not do

Thanks for the contest and thanks for posting the correct answers, I actually had marvelous compass at first, but then I googled again and it said it was in a book only (I have no idea about anything Mario-related.), so I switched it out with star pieces.
