So in about January my brother discovered Switch 119.7, a radio station in Brisbane, Australia. Without holding back, their music is just about always off the chain.
I have never heard such awesome radio station before. On top of that, it is community run! No hosts droning on for ages about news or anything, just awesome beats.
Also, if anyone has heard it before, their Dance Floor Nation on Saturday nights is ridiculously good and thankfully enough we can download some of the previous ones ^_^
I'm just making this blog because honestly, on pretty much every other radio station I will turn it off or change station every 2nd song because it is generally so garbage. Switch changed that for me, sure it has the odd piece of crap occasionally sprinkled in, but for the most part it is insanely good.
Anyone else heard of switch or other awesome radio stations, they seem to be really rare!
btw the site for switch is http://www.switch1197.com/ I've just got the live stream for it running in my itunes :D

JJJ is all we really have in perth, and noonga fm which surprisingly plays some actual good music sometimes but i'll check it out and envy other states for one more reason

What type of music do they play? I guess it's all about taste. I just tuned in for a second and there was some weird chant.

Hahaha that must have been a weird thing, I have noticed on the odd occasion that that does play.
Usually it works though, and if you can manage to tune in when this guy is on: http://www.switch1197.com/content/view/409/42/ (saturday night brisbane time) it is awesome
Also apparently MC Mario is on now, he's generally pretty good.
Edit: omg you guys must have tuned in when this weird program called voices of Somoa was on. See Sunday night: http://www.switch1197.com/content/view/413/231/
