SO I just got a great idea for a theme for some of my blogs. until I start getting my performances on video again.
I'm gonna do like a DrH style thing, but instead of hot asians im hook you guys up with videos of comedians you might not know about.
I've met a lot of professionals around Texas, since between shows they still have to get practice in at clubs, you run into some relatively famous people, and we chit chat about comedians and such, so I know some of the more "underground" or niche comedians.

Brian Regan
I wanted to start off with him because he is the number 1 comedian in american right now in my mind. He's who really drove me to do clean comedy because he does it so well and the audience's laughs feel warmer and they smile bigger when they leave the show.
also he's great to show the family and such, blah blah.

His facial expressions are absolutely amazing, im not quite sure how he bends his whole head that way, but I've always been jealous of his eyebrow power >_<
He's not incredibly famous, a lot of people dont know who he is, so I think he's a good share!
I LOVE BRIAN REGAN! you have great taste! :D totally agree about his facial expression, cant really tell on these videos cuz theyre kinda choppy for me at least but i recommend everyone to watch this foo on the big screen tv... wonderful! :D Epitome of Hyperbole is teh sex ^_^
i dont know any of letterman's old stuff. im not sure if he was a radio personality or a comedian first, im pretty sure he was a comic though. i know he's pretty funny but he doesnt write his own material for the show so its hard to judge
like judging a painter who didnt paint the painting. its just like, uh, what do you want me to say?
this is awesome funny shit, that Brian Regan guy cracked me up. If you like ridiculous faces and poses you can't get much better than old Lee Evans, some of the best poses ever! Man, so much goes into a good standup...faces, timing, material, poses, voices, levels...complicated stuff. Also love Ricky Gervais but everyone should know him...he has some of the best timing ever! I'd like to see more people I haven't heard of
Can I just add, m0nion, about your whole clean comedy thing. I can't describe my face when a comedian moves from clean to filthy topics but it's basically this:

Yeah, no, he is not my cup of tea, I tend to not like comedians that rely too much on stupid faces and funny voices. I like Louis CK best, really into his kind of dark humor, but if it has to be a Texas comedian I say Ron White. The redneck comedy tour would be shit without Ron White.

I think this is a really good idea, I'll be looking forward to your future blogs, though I hope you wont entirely exclude any "dirty" comedians Not that I love hearing dirty words, I just think it's silly to censor yourself, unless you have a really good reason (like you and your church thingy)
