My list: One Piece > Claymore > Naruto > Bleach (Sometimes Bleach > Naruto -_-)
I remember when I first read One Piece, it was just so... childish and slow but after a while I realized that all that stuff from earlier on was to build strong bonds between the reader and the characters o_o Whenever I recommend to One Piece to someone, I have to tell them that it gets soooo better after 100-150 chapters or so.
One Piece universe = amazing Characters, not just the main ones, have substances <3 Mr Bon Clay
btw, how's Fairy Tale? read around 30-40 chapters and grew tired... any good later on?

In no other manga or anime, other than One Piece, could a character like Bon Clay be considered a good character. It is a testament to how good the show is.

i started watching One Piece yesterday, not exactly what i expected after all the praise, but i will have faith and keep watching it, shouldnt be too hard of a task after >90 eps of kenshin

its completely the opposite

One piece is amazing, and I highly recommend it over Naruto and Bleach. Sure the art might turn some of us off at first, but get through the first few chapters, and you'll love it. Those of us who really love OP know it's about the great characters, amazing story telling and endless amounts of epic moments. I think Oda's style of drawing, though not as sexy or flashy as some, truly brings out the emotions and feelings he wants us to feel at times.

There is a good reason why One Piece is considered one of Japan's most beloved mangas, and not Naruto or Bleach

LOL You actually watched all of Kenshin? You do realize the last 30 episodes were completely filler and non canon, and were complete garbage and really horrible . The final arc made me puke . Go read the manga instead which actually finishes the material, also have a look at the 3 Kenshin OVAs which are actually fantastic. Trust and Betrayal is one of the best animated movies ever made.
As for OP(as in topic creator). Keep up with one piece it gets a lot better as you go on, and I heard a lot of good stuff about it in comparison with the other two in the big 3. The shounens people should have another look at are Hajime no Ippo and Jojo's Bizzare Adventure(especially part 3 which is really fantastic and creative/original), which have been going on since the 1980s and still going pretty strong.

Yeh Hajime no Ippo is the fuckin shit. Im kinda pissed at how they didnt continue with New Challenger!
As for Heens question on Fairy Tail, although the animation is similar to One Piece, its not like One Piece. I am however enjoying the series alot so i recommend watching it. I hear the manga is pretty sick for it but im not a manga fan/reader so i cant really comment on it other then what other people have already said.

Fairy Tail is like an inferior version of One Piece with magic instead of pirates. It's not bad, but it's not that great either in my opinion. (Manga only).
And I honestly didn't find the early chapters/episodes of One Piece all that bad. It really does pick up at the Arlong arc though. Arlong arc was amazing.

why would i not finish some mere 30 eps after watching 60
yea, ive seen the ovas, 2 of the 3 were good
it took me 2 eps of One Piece to get hooked, im not very picky i guess

I gave up on One Piece after episode 2 of the anime, the episode was that bad.
Maybe I should keep going, after watching that I was like "people like this shit?"

Seriously ? No. The world of Naruto was really interesting, the uses of ninjas in actual world. I found that concept totally genious. The fact that ninjas work not for personnal matters, but for the survey of their villages, the duality between their work and their personnal feeling, the special abilities, that was cool.
With Tsunade, ninjas disappear and are replaced by fucking wizards. The power of each and every one of those wizards can crush an entire country of normal people. The bad guys have no more motivation than "I will conquer the world/I want to be immortal/I'm emo". The battles are like a World of Warcraft demonstration of spamming the same buttons again and again.
One Piece doesn't forget his main line. It's all about exploration, discovery, in a world of pirates. And the one piece obviously. Bad guys are usually not just a bunch of crap who wants to conquer the world. Usually, because + Show Spoiler +Ener was a perfect exception to this rule.
Other reasons are in my other post.

One Piece seems exactly the same, even the catchphrase( I will be the pirate king)
im around 45 eps, it still is horrible drawing( and you said naruto has is worse), same "wizards" killing fleets of 50 ships( hawk eyes). Unlike naruto it has few of those super annoying characters( like usopp and buggy( who was revived rofl)) that make you wonder what is the average age of the viewer they target. Usopp alone is a good enough reason to stop watching one piece. Like i said, i dont ask for much, i got hooked really fast. But so far it didnt stand up to naruto( to be fair the way the story goes i still believe it might) Another annoying thing is not killing your opponents, they all alive so far besides mermen. At least kenshin managed not to mention them after the battle ended.
you speak very confident, but to me youre wrong in half the things you say. Saying "seriously? no" is meaningless because its just your personal opinion and you are the only one taking it seriously

depends on what you like, but it is hard to watch before you get used to it. Probably not watching any other animes for some time would help

He was just sadistic enough to destroy Skypeia before going to the moon lol

Usopp alone is a good enough reason to stop watching one piece. One of the greatest things about One Piece is the characters and the depth given to them. Usopp might seem stupid and annoying at first, but you get to see him evolve into one of the best characters of the manga. Also like a lot of mangas the art evolves as the series progresses. Like Shaman King, the art's pretty shitty at first, but gets better and better as it progresses
