Starcraft assignment

So I just got my result back from my english oral about starcraft and Korea and I got an A-- (yes double minus in order to differentiate people more since I am in year 12). It is even more awesome since the highest mark that was awarded was an A and all of them were cross marked pretty intensely.

It was a super fun project as working on it involved my usual procrastination :D. I think some other guys in my class got really pissed off because they thought my topic was a joke and they got B-/B.

So yeah, this is one of my proudest moments of my schooling, doing an english oral about starcraft and pwning it up. From reading other blogs from time to time, I have seen that other people share my passion and have found ways to incorporate starcraft into their assignments. If you did, post how you went and how awesome it felt to make it :D

More often than not doing a school project on starcraft doesn't go well... congrats!

What types of questions did they a you?

We had to do a persuasive oral on individual vs institution, things from Boxer's autobiography came to mind as soon as they told us about the task.

i did something called a 'Bit' on starcraft. it was in a class called Social Psychology(go Figure). Well anyway.... basically everyday one person in the class gets to rant on for 20 minutes about what the crap they want as long as it fit in the criteria. I fit Starcraft in under Teen life. I got an A+++ on this assignment because i showed a pro game... Bisu Vs Jaedong. i think it was 2007 final of something. Anyway. it was pretty amazing. all i did was rant on about how awesome starcraft is and that it should become a sport in high schools...... just as it is in Korea. Sadly witht he recession and all the principle came in and said. We dont have the funding. :D

I never talekd about sc in my homeworks, usually sc remove lots of time to school..never the opposite XD

i wrote an essay in my intro to compuational media class examing starcraft as a medium in regards to the tetrad of media effects:

Unfortunately I got a 75 on it because I said that starcraft enhances one's imagination and retrieves our childhood curiosity, and my grading TA said some bullshit along the lines of "while open play may occur, the genre itself does not necessarily lend itself to that". basically my TA never played starcraft but felt that since he played other games he knew everything there was to know about all games. He said I should of just wrote about military simulation or some shit lol

What I'm most pissed off about from that class was that I found out after the final that the whole year we were allowed to get anything regraded -_-

Dude what a dick... usually TAs are students... im sure u can beat the shit out of him. Im pretty sure TL has some hitmans to rape any kid who degrades teh name of starcraft..... rape that kid.
