In the vein of chiptune-esque music, I will inject Sabrepulse. They're rad! + Show Spoiler + ...And more The Knife. From their new Darwinian opera, "Tomorrow, In a Year" + Show Spoiler +

I really enjoy these blogs. I'm always a tad skeptical when someone first posts a "good music" blog, but I really wish these would get more love. Thanks for putting in the effort to make these.

Great suggestions! I saw Crystal Castles at Monster Massive 09. Aside from it being overly crowded, I enjoyed their set.
Here's a funky chiptune track from Trash80. If you want to check out more, you can download his music from his site: http://trash80.net/

I'm liking it, usually i've heard 2 of them albums and then there will be genres I'm afraid of.
@andrew bird album- have you heard the new owen pallett? Same idea Its practically all I listen to, it is so pretty and magical, like from the old times.
Also I'm curious what the opinion on the new gorillaz is, I for one am loving it.

The thing is, his new albums aren't bad in my opinion, they've just lost what I really like about them, that very strong British grime feel. Lyrically, I think he's still quite good actually, but the music just isn't as powerful as it used to be.

Also, I love chiptune, thanks for the recommendation!

Thanks for putting in the effort to make these. No problem! I know exactly what you mean, I was very worried about putting the word "good" in the title, as I know how I react when I see something like that. On the other hand, I specifically called it "good listening" instead of "good music" as I wanted the emphasis to be on music that is enjoyable to listen to, rather than music that is "objectively good" somehow. Still, I'm glad I could convince you to bear with the title!

Not sure if I would go watch them live too often, but I'll definitely get their new album. Also, more chiptune!

Still, I know what you're talking about, many artists in glitch make me feel like that. Also, thanks for the recommendation, will give it a listen!

I haven't listened to the new Gorillaz yet, but I've read a lot of reviews. There seems to be a very big divide in the community, some love it, others hate it. If I had to guess, I would say I'll love it though, I've loved everything that Damon Albarn has touched to date, and if some people can see the good in that album then I assume I'll do the same Still, I've gotten the album in the last few days, and I've just not had the time to listen to it. I should rectify that asap.
