Why is it bad to leave the power adapter connected to the labtop when labtop is @ 100% power. Same thing with phones and charging mp3 players/electronic devices.

So is the most efficient way to use electronic devices to charge them to full power and then only recharge when they are close to dying?

Q2

With sterile Q-tips, is it bad to open the box, and leave them in the living room? (dust in air lands on q-tip?)

With macaroni powder (dry) and uncooked rice left out in open, will the air oxidize it causing it to taste different?

1. I dunno if it's bad for the battery or not... I think it depends on the device. However, it does trickle electricity meaning it is wasting energy. One phone charger isn't a lot but think of all the different things around your house that trickle energy because they are plugged in even though you aren't using them.

2. What are you using them for? If your ear, then I suggest you don't do that as they are not generally good for your ear canal.

Q1 recharge your batteries at any time, modern batteries have been designed to not have the memory problem and i remember reading that some batteries last longer the more you charge them

I recently got earrings so I use qtips w/ wash solution to wipe around ears.
