I got home today and felt like transferring to a new account for some reason. The account name, Bramble Blast, is taken from Donkey Kong Country 2. The level where you're in a huge place with all the vines and you have to shoot your way through barrels to beat it. The song that goes with that level is easily my favorite video game music ever.
I transferred to there from my other account and started streaming while listening to video game music from Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3, Mario Kart 64, and Mario 64. This music is magical, folks.
I've been struggling all season long. I've gone through periods of inactivity due to real life stuff and have struggled to become fully active again. In December I felt I was starting to be the best player I've ever been, and although recently I thought I was showing signs of being up there again, a lot of things still went wrong. Until today that is.. somehow I pulled off a 14-1 record in two different sessions today. The only game I lost was my second game, where I had a lead but got overconfident and slacked on my macro'ing in a PvP, which lead to sure death. After that game I pulled off a 13 game win streak. A lot of these games were against Koreans.. the people I've been going out of my way to play the entire season, just cause I feel it helps me improve faster.
It also means I hit B- for the first time ever. Although I feel I can keep going (and I definitely will) it's a good feeling because laddering has never been my strength. When I play games against friends that are high in the ranks I always win my fair share and give good games, but when I ladder for some reason I always seem to play below my level.
Some of these games were really close, but everything seemed to go my way.. I feel like I'm back and I'm the best I've ever been. I'm starting to get my builds down, my micro in PvP is way better than it used to be, my PvT is still improving and I can knock off some good players. I'm a lot more confident in my PvZ than I used to be and I don't play scared when I'm fast expanding.
It's an awesome feeling!

Mmm yes. Video game music always hits the spot. It's also very fun to play on guitar  Especially 32bit era RPG music.

Haha, I always join games that say C/C+ when I'm C+, but I usually won't play if they're C. I dunno why I just never really play lower ranks unless it's a re game. The game we did play though kinda scared me haha, I deserved to lose it
Anyways things kinda caught up to me, I've lost the four games I've played at B-,. I can identify the mistakes I'm making which feels good, but I still have a ways to go. These Korean Terrans are absolutely demolishing me, though.
