I haven't watched Heroes since the disappointment of the last episode of Season 1. However, I have seen the last 7ish episodes and to be honest am not very impressed.
The way Sylar is turning into a good guy is so annoying.
+ Show Spoiler +Just being told he is going to die alone is enough to make him all emo and regret killing tons and tons of people. And it takes him like 2 episodes for him to be like LOL I WANT TO HELP EVERYONE after (what i assume to be) 4 seasons of being a badass. On top of that, I find it very annoying they kept that character around for so long as it just made the plot overly predictable after a while (is Sylar going to die this episode? mmmmmmmm nope).
Also, I could never stand that annoying emo guy + Show Spoiler +who just lost his brother. And he was like super emo once again while stuck in Sylars head .
I really do like the new current bad guy though. Even though his reasons for being evil really arent fulfilling at all. If you're going to have a badguy, either have him be someone who really had a super abused past (which his wasn't that bad) or have him be a total badass who doesn't give a fuck about anything. This sort of emo middle ground is really kind of annoying to me.
I dunno, I think the show has a ton of potential but they pull it off rather poorly. I still do love Claire's Dad as a character and some of the people from the carnival are awesome. Overall I think I'd give its current progress like a 6.5/10, it would have been higher if they made Sylar's transition to herodom a little more convincing.
Edit: Yes, I do say 'emo' a lot in this post, but really I think its a huge factor in why I think Heroes could be much better than it is currently.
