I'm down for somewhere in south complex seeing as i live there and its fairly central, i dont know where a room for us would be, i'm guessing it'd be bad if we were all in an open lounge being loud as shit while people are studying

Decaf can you think of a place in south complex where it would be nice to play? I had an idea for a place where we could practice actually. In the sparty's in holmes hall there is a long table with like 15 (No joke there is actually that many) Ethernet ports at the end of the table. Next to that table there are 3 gaming PCs that are definitely starcraft compatible. Sadist, that would satisfy you would it not? What do you guys think? Would this be a place that we could do it in?

Has everyone given me their emails yet? Decaf are you gone this Sunday? If so I could probably just catch you at sparty LAN. In any cause we should probably meet so that I can put names with faces and get a head count.
What's that probe doing there? It's a scout. You mean one of those flying planes? No....

I know a number of people have definitely used public computers for SC in Holmes a lot in the past. How's parking there? I assume it's fine on weekends, but I've always used Shaw ramp.

If Holmes means a bad walk for anyone on the opposite side of campus I would have no problem giving rides. I have to drive in from downtown Lansing anyway.

Woohoo, glad I didn't miss this thread. I only knew Sadist and Decafchicken as TLers in Lansing.

I have never gotten the chance to meet any MSU TLers The only decent Michigan player I've ever met who had any idea how to play SC was iSin.

There's an MSU lan on February 7th. http://www.spartylanparty.com/ No Starcraft tournament or anything, but I'm already registered to go and would love to meet some other people in the area

I also have an SC2 beta key and would love to play SC2 locally or show the game to my fellow TLers

Holy shit just finished reading most of this thread and am now super excited to see some Lansing SC organization :D I'll PM my email.

I was C- on the fourth day of the last iccup season. I think I'm above C-, but don't want to get chewed apart for extrapolating

Oh yeah, is anyone here named Danny? My roommate last year knew I loved SC and kept telling me about 4 guys who he saw playing in the lab whenever he went over to Holmes Hall. Supposedly one guy named Danny I think was wiping the floor with them 1v3 or something

I've also heard of 2-4 people playing SC in the Shaw Hall labs, but I have no idea if they're any good. Whenever I looked this year (only twice while visiting friend) they were playing wc3/dota

Sorry for this terribly organized post. I'm editing and adding one line at a time as I go through this thread

First off yay for calling me decent. Second I'm still pissed about you 2gating me twice lol.

Anyways This thread just made a lightbulb pop up over my head yo. Michigan Starcraft Lan in Lansing. I could line up a venue in lansing VERY VERY VERY easily (Royal Scot's 19th Hole) as I'm friends with the people who run waldoman there and the owners. It's a bowling alley for those of you who don't know. With this many people interested in SC in Lansing A lone we could probably get people from Toronto to come and anyone in ohio/indiana/illinois as well as all the UofM kids(Hopefully Hotbid would show up )

Any thoughts? Btw Royal Scot is a 100seater

royal scot is ok, I go up there occasionally on sunday evening to play pool and drink. They do have pretty big banquet halls. I play golf there all the time.

I still say if you want to host a lan we could just go to FRAG since they already have comps and stuff if they give us a decent price.

well I could get the room at Scot cheaper than @ FRAG for sure plus I'd borrow the equipment from my friend who runs the waldoman lan. only downfall is BYOC but is that really a downfall at all? :p

I'm talking like a large scale lan not just a 10 person get together. "Midwest SC Lan 2010" maybe on an OSL finals night or something.

Yeah, so long as I can find my way up there I'd go, and that's probably true for some other UM kids too, main issue being transportation and time.
