I just got some cologne for the first time. Aqua di Gio. It has 2 different bottles, one cologne and one aftershave.
I messed with the cologne last night, I should do 1 spray on each side of my neck and one on my chest from like 6-10 inches away.
But, I don't have a clue on how to apply aftershave. I just washed my face off with cold water and then dipped my finger and patted it on, but I don't know how much I need or how to apply it. Any advice?

everyone has their own cologne tricks
but yeah, you don't need a lot of aftershave to cover your face. you'll know when you put to much on because it won't get absorbed. and that feels nasty
|
I wasnt aware turtles had hair that needed shaving
|
Aftershave is to put on after you shave obviously :p I just put some on my hand (if it's the liquid type) and let it sting my shiny cheeks (and the rest of the areas my razor blade just went over).
Cologne is a perfume and more concentrated, and you use it as a.. perfume.

Dude you should wash your face in it. + Show Spoiler +I mean wtf go ask your dad, or someone older than you.
|
Hmm I don't know it this is a joke but if its an honest question here the advice: Just put a few drops of it on your palm, then rub both hands against each other to apply the stuff onto them and then apply it with both your hands onto your face.

I doubt highly he is curious how to use a spray-bottle, the guy is asking how you effectively put on cologne so that you can smell it with it being too strong, it's a perfectly legitimate question, grow up.
Edit: I just realized I didn't even respond. Either ask your father (unless he is not adept at it as well haha) or just YouTube it, there are plenty of videos.

Pour some on your hand and dab on face, the cologne is one spray to the front of your neck from 3-5 inches away. too much cologne kills it.

this is not a joke thread. I think some members here might be able to teach me things that I/people I know wouldn't think of.
I think I've figured out a way to put on cologne, but I'll try new ways to see if they work better.
And with the aftershave there are no directions that came with it. I want to apply it right so I'm not wasting my money every time I put some on. I googled "how to apply aftershave" but all I got was the same copy + pasted article that doesn't actually teach anything.

Generally shaving is a prerequisite to using aftershave.

3 sprays of cologne seems like over kill. When I use to wear it I would just spray one on. For aftershave, just apply it to the areas you shaved. Dont use to much, a little goes a long ways.

Are you seriously asking this?

Usually, when you apply cologne, the biggest mistake you can make is overapplication. Generally a maximum of two squirts is suggested.
It should be strong enough to be smelled, but only by those that would want to smell it (i.e. those you are immediately interacting with). Some people even say that cologne is something meant to only be smelled by those lucky enough to get very close to you.
Aqua di Gio is an especially nice scent, although it is fairly ubiquitous among my peers (college age). For application, I would suggest either one squirt to the base of the neck above the shirtline, and then immediately rubbing both wrists onto it while it's still slightly damp.
Another option is to stand, shirtless, and spray a squirt or two into the air in front of you, and then walk through the mist. This works to spread the scent more evenly.
If you use the same scent aftershave as you do cologne, it will be even more effective and have more lasting power. I find two squirts of Aqua di Gio usually lasts about 6-8 hours for me, if i don't do a lot of physical activity. You can just ask the people around you how potent the scent is at various time intervals to see what works for you

Further proof to the makers of consumer goods that no matter how self explanatory the use of your product may seem, instructions will always in some cases be required.
|
Aqua di Gio is pretty common but it's decent!
go for one spray, no more than 2. Spray slightly below your neck, then rub onto your wrists, but don't rub it for too long.
|
yo man, nice cologne... but 3 sprays is OVERKILL....
you wanna have a faint smell of cologne, just enough so that they get a whiff and try to come closer for a better whiff. maybe 1 spray. you dont want the chick you are eating dinner with to taste your cologne in her fucking meal lol.
i dont even use 1 full spray. i squeeze out a tiny bit, rub it on my fingers, and massage my neck and other areas. trust me its just enough.

Some ppl are noobs no matter what they do :/
