Ok I'd like to get to know you guys, and I think you guys should get to know eachother too. Can you guys post here an introduction of yourself, including but not necessarily solely: your sc background, what in sc you're good at or bad at, your strengths and weaknesses as a player, best maps/matchups etc, and anything else you'd like to share. I hope you guys don't see the blog as being too "public", but I can't think of anything better just as convenient.

The signups have already ended, most people who signed up didn't get in. There are 12 teams of 6 players and 2 coaches each.

Is there a reason why they didn't organize it by race? Can you really teach all 3 races?

My best matchups have gotten B- on iccup, and can beat people currently ranked B, my worst matchup is at worst C-, which is above the highest rank of the players in here. I think I can manage.
Everyone got 2 zergs, 2 terrans, and 2 protosses. There was a surplus of people who signed up, so they just made sure everyteam had same racial and rank mix.

Hi, I'm OrderlyChaos and I'm the assistant coach for Team 7. I'm nowhere near as skilled as Nightmarjoo is, but I can still help analyze replays and give you general advice. My main race is Zerg, and I don't really off-race well, but I can play them to give you a feeling for D level play at each mu :p My main role here is to help Nightmarjoo with managing everyone and also giving advice/playing you guys when needed. Let's have a great and successful season!
And yes, Nightmarjoo is definitely at least C- in every mu, so he should be at least somewhat qualified to teach them.

Hey I'm andy from Ohio. 19 years, first year university, no job. My race is zerg and do not off race. I started playing sc beginning of august this year, so ~1.5 seasons of iccup. I hop between D/D+. I am ~130 apm. I seem to be really thrown off whenever I get pressured early/early mid game with bunker bust/early zealot push/2port wraith builds. Later game I do much better, I think. My worst mu is zvz by far though. My muta micro is meh. I'm ~40% zvp/zvt.
I begin winter holiday today (weds 9th of dec). So I'll have plenty of time to practice, etc. Are we going to get a vent server or something as well? That would probably make communication much easier.
Does teamliquid have a vent?

Hey guys. I wasn't able to make it on any of the teams, but it was wishful thinking on my part being that I was on the borderline for pupil/coach in terms of rank. Anyway, Nightmarjoo generously offered to take on any who did not make it into a team under his wing (as long as we don't hinder his coaching), thus, I thought this was a great opportunity to learn from a B level player. Really, those that made it onto a team should know how extremely lucky they are to be taught by a high level player. I imagine you guys will improve tremendously, as opposed to if you were just blindly mass gaming on iccup.
I'm a T/Z user (TvP, TvZ, ZvT) who's C high, but considers himself solid C-. Obviously my concerns and questions will come second after the established team members, but I look forward to participating in the practice sessions and such. BTW, I won't be completely useless; I can help out D-/D level players with basics. GL and HF everybody (and don't forget to PM me about practices)!

Yo whats up. I'm ToN I've started seriously playing for about a month now since I have gotten a decent internet source. I live on a farm in Ontario and you can pm me if you want any contact details though there on the cpl signup thread. I'm in grade 12. My pvt is my strongest matchup and am around d+ in it. I have started learning some pvz but need a lot of practise to get the basics of the matchup started and pvp I am still pretty bad at atm. My apm averages around 100 and spikes from around 80 - 130 or so. Can't think of much else to say but lets do this and we need to use voice chat. I have skype, ventrilo, and also can boot up my xfire if needed and whatever else you may want to use. GLHF~

What's up guys. My name is John, I'm a senior at Boston University studying biology and I enjoy long walks on the beach and playing zerg in Broodwar.
I've been following the competitive sc scene for about a year but only really started playing a lot on Iccup this past season. I've made it to around 2600 points with a losing record and play all three matchups as zerg.
I definitely feel most confident in my ZvT, although since I'm still a noob all my matchups are pretty shitty. I play around 200-240 apm (probably some decent spamming in there) and I'd say I'm definitely more of a defense + macro zerg than one who is constantly trying to attack.
As for maps I've played a ton on desti and heartbreak ridge, a little bit on fighting spirit, one or two games on outsider and i don't know match point at all.
I've got exams coming up in the next week and a half but after that I'm home for winter break and will definitely be playing a ton of Iccup.
Looking forward to dominating CPL with you guys, oh and my Iccup nick is ..BravE.
