Blogging about how awesome it is to be rank 1337.
But on a more serious note, I seem to fail at the beginning of each liquibet season. I honestly don't know how I should go about picking winners. Before, I went with the bandwagon approach, and that never yielded an above-average performance. This season, I'm failing pretty hard at trying to mix it up with some more creative picks (picking Piano > Best). For the other picks such as Really > Shine, Bisu > Shine, Yellow[arnc] > Ruby following the bandwagon also failed hard. Also seems like every season my % correct always drops. I have absolutely no confidence in my picks and I'm just better off flipping a coin.
So I ask of the readers of this blog to make suggestions and pray that I can reach at least rank 500 this season.

I'm ranked 492 right now. The start of the season is really rough. For now I'm going with the band wagon until I can catch a couple dark horses that others havent caught onto yet.
90% of it is luck and the other 10% is doing research on a specific players performance in that matchup + map.
I was top 3 there for a while last season, heres hoping for a repeat.
On a side note, my Fantasy team has so many good players and yet has like 13 points or something...

This is my first time actually trying to use the liquibet and it's pretty fun haha.
I usually vote on players I like.

Husky gives good advice, don't go against popular opinion early in the season and look for players that are playing well THIS season not in the last couple months.
I haven't played liquibet in a long time but I imagine picking winners is pretty tough right now because of the long off season+lots of new maps.

My "Your stats" page says I have 25 points, but the "Ranking" page has me at 24. This discrepancy has persisted for a while. What's the deal? Is something wrong? To whom do I point this out to get them to investigate?

Just vote for who's better considering MUs and current form. Then, if it's too close to tell, rely on maps.
For PL I just do that and see which team is more favored in each set and vote for the one who gets the majority.
Though, this isn't going to win you any LBs, it should get you in the top 500.
