DoctorHelvetica United States15034 Posts October 10 2009 07:07 GMT #1 As I edit the shit out of my upcoming TLFE and hope to do some small proleague coverage I'd like to so a small smattering of BroodWar articles. Unfortunately i've been drawing a blank recently and don't have a lot if ideas. So post in here any topics/gamers you'd like me to write about. I could even write about some other things not BroodWar related. But I don't really have any other hobby i could expose.

Phelix 1931 Posts October 10 2009 07:20 GMT #2 I have been thinking about writing some player biographies that have not won any titles so far, and most likely will never win one, but are still key players within their teams for Proleague, or who have brought innovation to Starcraft. The problem I'm facing is getting the information necessary to write such an article, and the willpower to write such a high-quality article as a Final Edits. Good luck in your endeavor of writing an article.

What I'm really trying to find is some good solid background information on a player, compiling all the translated interviews as well as games into a complete biography of a player. Maybe my vision is too grand, but at least that's a starting point.

You could write about that and maybe tie in other people's opinions about these maps and how they might affect this upcoming Proleague or you could wait and do an article on the first few games on these maps. That's just what I'm interested in though.

Also I know a bit about the new maps but there are already so many map related articles in the writers forum atm it would be redundant. I might do a skYhigh/movie double feature or nal.rA the biggest baller ever who doesn't have a TLFE of his own which should be illegal

However, I do have one idea which you would probably be far better suited to write and it is a topic I like to call the "Sea curse". Leta is (or at least was) one of the most hyped players in the progaming scene. Some have even gone so far as to already proclaim him an S-class player. Yet, there are primarily two consistent things he has shown so far: his excellent Proleague performance and his inability to perform well in the individual leagues. When you think about it, this is frighteningly similar to how Sea`s career has turned out. An article that describes Leta`s career, draws comparisons to Sea[Shield]`s career and contemplates how much either of the two have a chance of getting rid of this "curse" would be most excellent. Plus, you can use FakeSteve`s article on Sea as a basis. Alternatively, you could also write about the King of Silver a.k.a the Kong line (as Koreans name it). Ever since Stork won the Incruit OSL, two players remain that are trying to shed that reputation from them: fantasy and JangBi. Both have come far in StarLeagues, yet both have failed to claim a title. This is in spite of the fact that both of them are highly-acclaimed players, Jangbi being one of the six Protoss Dragons and Fantasy being the pupil of Boxer and Oov. An analysis of their careers, combined with thoughts which of them has the greater potential of getting rid of the "King of Silver" reputation, would probably make for an excellent article. Anyway, those are my two suggestions. If you want, I am willing to help out with writing the articles. However, I am a relative latecomer to the progaming scene, so I sadly do not have the in-depth knowledge of some of the TL writers.
