Why can't I connect to battle.net?

So I was peacefully watching some replays using the window mode feature from iccup launcher and everything's ok. I exit the game after watching a few decide to switch back to full size mode because I wanted to play some games. When I try to launch starcraft an error window pops up saying "Version missmatch in file "battle.snp" : expected "1.16.1.1" but was ""

Then I assumed there must have been some kind of update on the launcher... wrong.
Then I assumed there must have been an update on the game and I try to connect to europe... another error window pops up saying "Unable to initialize network provider" T.T

Why is this happening? Any clues? Reinstall the game or is it some problem with my internetz? I want to plaaaayy

Did you try launching starcraft from the actual starcraft executable?

Yes I did. That's when the second error window pops up.

BTW: does iccup still have that iccup server only version for download in their site? I can't find it in the files section.

EDIT: there's no file with the name "battle.snp" on my starcraft directory... maybe I deleted it or moved it while putting some replays into the folder? If that file exists could someone please uploaded here? Would be much apreciated
