***Notes Regarding using School Computers
So throughout the course of playing on campus, we've noticed an oddity when creating and joining games - you can't do it like you normally would, at least on the UM network.
If person A tries to create a game, person B will initially be unable to join. However, after attempting to join A's game and failing, B can then create a game, and then A will be able to join. This appears to be the same regardless of whether you're using LAN or iCCup. This process becomes slightly harder to follow as you increase the number of players (ex: obs), but it would be like this for three people: A create, B join fail, C join fail. B create, A join success, C join fail. C create, A join success, B join success.
If any EECS majors out there can figure out why this is, that would be awesome.

I think only decaf and sadist go at MSU from TL, I dunno about anyone else o.O I didn't know any serious sc players when I was there.

Sounds great, Hot_Bid! Average level so far seems to be D+/C-, so you'd fit right in. You have any contact info to make things easier to set up? Even if it's not possible to have everyone participate in the league itself because of scheduling or time conflict, it's nice to know who's around.
I don't think we would have had enough for a team last year - 4 of 7 on the list are incoming Freshmen. I'm sure there are more people who play competitively - once the semester starts and people see us playing I'm sure that'll attract interest.

I'm not actually in Bursley im in Baits II but whatever they're 100 yards from each other.

I think welcome week was definitely a lot more relaxing as a 1st year... ever since I became an upperclassmen I've always been on the side doing the hosting for events so it gets pretty tiring, but it's still pretty cool meeting tons of new people.
Also, if people could PM me their uniqnames, I'd like to compile a mailing list to make it easier to arrange LAN meetings, etc.

Had a good turnout at the Fishbowl last night~ was great to see 8 guys in 2 adjacent cubicles playing SC. Apparently, although it's a little difficult to connect from laptop to computer lab station, laptop to laptop using the UM wireless appears to work relatively painlessly. Got destroyed by Nubster last night PvZ...

whaaat! where do you go to parties? all the frats give out free alcohol and all the houses that have parties that i usually go to give out free alcohol too. unless you're talking about paying at bars but 10$ for a bar a week would make you the lightest lightweight in history.

A bunch of us who couldn't be there for the end were huddled around an iPhone constantly doing the equivalent of "F5, F5, F5, F5"... probably looked quite silly, but the tension was all there just the same.
Also, I've received the E-mail for the CSL+ coordinator - the biggest thing is this:
"Find at least four players (including yourself) who committed to playing a StarCraft match every week for the entire season"
I'm fine with taking on the role of UM coordinator if no one else wants to give it a shot - most of it is fairly straightforward like submitting lineups and reports. So currently the biggest issue is finding at least four players for any given week. Ideally, probably at least six or seven players, since that would probably give us enough "just in case" flexibility should someone have an exam or meeting that night that they just can't get out of.
In short, could people who haven't PM'ed me their Umich IDs yet do so as soon as possible? So far, I have already received or figured out somehow:
