Note: If you're offended by blogs containing Protoss players being excited about getting a certain rank on iCCup, proceed at our own risk.

Anyways, I finally hit C+ for the first time ever! Granted, it is the last week of the season.. but I honestly feel like I could keep playing competitive in the C+ ranks, considering many people I beat are higher than C now, although I'm just gonna wait till the next iCCup season to start playing again and see how I compete.
This season has definitely been the best one for me improvement-wise; last summer I mass gamed but only watched my replays to learn rather than getting help from other players (since to be honest I didn't know too many people back then), so I lingered around low C-. I quit until March and picked up the game again. Oddly enough my APM had risen for what it's worth but I wasn't really much better. However I've met some new people and received many tips and that's helped my play so much. Later in the summer I also made a decision to play during Korean hours, which meant playing from like 10 PM to 2 AM. For some reason these seem to be my peak hours when I'm playing at my best. Due to school going on now I'm not able to do that as much, but I still try to play at night (I live in Kansas) and play against any Koreans that I can. This also has helped me a lot.. and I've definitely learned to not care about my record at all.
My big problem is that I'm a REALLY emotional player and get involved in the game, meaning if I lose a game I kind of get discouraged. However, I think I'm getting over that because lately I've been forcing myself to keep playing, regardless of if I was mass losing. I don't know why I do this, since I know that losing and watching replays helps, but I'm just weird.
My goal next season is B-, something I honestly feel is in reach if I keep playing at a steady pace and doing what I can do improve. We'll see how this goes!

Congratulations. I always feel as though C+ is when your good, instead of decent.
|
Congratulations for sure. I feel that reaching b- is the cutoff between good and decent. I think I could reach b- because I have a good record at c+, but I haven't actually reached it yet =/
There's still 4 or so days left until the season is over though, you should try to get to b- ^^

last week of season?? what day does it end?? must get D+ before it!
|
Man I hit C+ as a z/t user and I made myself not make a blog about it
But good work. C+ feels good because players at C at least have somewhat of a clue about how to play unlike the lower levels.

+1 to TheFoReveRwaR, I hit C+ this season with Terran after always thinking C+ is like the separation of people who can actually play, so well done :D
(although with my awful record and 5001 pts I'm not really truly C+ since I didn't ladder there >_> been on vacation)

omfg, why do you even bother posting at all
GoShox: Grats on C+! I can sympathize with you about being an emotional player... just try to ignore it and keep playing randoms. Seems to work for most people. If BM is your thing, try that too as it might help you vent. >_>
