well my friend uses a diet when he has a "protien-day" than "fruit-day" than "vegetable-day", "meat-day" and so on, he's even allowed to eat icecream-cackes in one of the days. He lost like 15kg and he's at the half of the diet. (he was sg like 105)

Though i think diets are quite useless, as far as i saw if the person began to eat as he used to after the diet he quickly regained his fat. And if one eats strictly than jogging will solve the thing.

Energies is right, all it takes is a little motivation and you can achieve your goal and even more if you keep at it.

5'11 is pretty tall (at least for us asians lol) and since you are a girl, you don't really need to lose a lot of weight to get into the 'average' range.

Just be willing to eat right, as well as work out. Fat will just be fat if it's just sitting there.

NeverGG just so you know you don't have to run a lot to lose weight, it's all about sweating and burning fat. If you just walk fast for an hour every day that's great.

Also, Girls can (and should) do weights aswell, it can work wonders for you. Somethingawful.com actually has a great section on weight loss/muscle gain/before/after photos for motivation. Start taking photos of yourself too for comparison later since that works as a great motivator, you dont have to show them to anyone or anything, but im sure it will help down the line when someone gives you a birthday chocolate cake!

Edit: You mention you have a stressful job, there is nothing better than after a day of stress than just blitzing out in the gym on a cardio machine to your favourite music, or swimming, whatever floats your boat.

I don't know whether it has been mentioned yet, but by excluding meat from your diet, you might get problems with the content of iron in your blood, especially since you're a woman. Over the past few months, my GF felt tired and feeble all the time. She very seldomly eats red meat and a recent test revealed her level of iron to be around 50 instead of the normal 200. Now that her iron level's gone up, she's doing a lot better. Maybe you should keep this in mind if you're not doing well.

Yeah definitely look for sources of iron - red kidney beans come instantly to mind - as a female. It's really not a problem for guys.

might i suggest spinach? spinach is possibly the best vegetable you can eat, it has 0 fat, carbs and sugar and has a host of important vitamins and minerals.

also stuff like beans, mushrooms and broccoli (i know, it tastes shit) is really good for your insides and outsides.

I mean i'm barely make any sports nowadays, i don't pay attention to what i eat and i'm still around 70Kg / 1m80 with almost no fat.

It's called metabolism. Some people are blessed (or cursed?) with fast metabolism. They eat a whole pizza and don't gain weigh and other people drink a cup of water and gain excess kilograms.

Anyway, I just wanted to add one thing. Once in a while treat yourself to your favourite food not to discourage yourself from the diet. 1-2 pizzas or a bar of chocolate a month wont hurt you at all and it will keep your morale high for the next workouts.

diets are stupid, try to eat food with unsaturated fatty acids and do sports.. if you spend more energy than you gain then you lose weight. its as easy as that..

While I support the old tuck and roll out of a car when someone's pulling you up to a fast food joint, I don't support giving up meat entirely. Granted I have a high metabolism, I eat meat constantly and am still in very athletic shape. Meat is good to keep in your diet, as long as you do it intelligently. Extra lean meats are very healthy, and always avoid fried foods.

Good luck on your quest to lose weight. It's tough, but if you're motivated you can do it. When you feel better about yourself and the way you look, you will become happier in every aspect of your life. Comfort in your body > Everything.

I am going to stereotype for a second and mention that my girlfriend is English as well, and the English seem to have a fear of exercise.

I've finally gotten her into running (just a few times a week) and it's really, really helped her keep the weight down and feel good about herself. Despite the fact that her friends look at her like she's deranged when she leaves the house to run, she keeps at it.
