Our ad policy does not permit auto playing audio or auto expanding ads. To report an ad, follow these steps:

1. Right click the ad (or just below if you can't right click it) and choose "Inspect" (img)

2. In the dev tools window, scroll up so that as much of the code before the highlighted line is visible (img). Expand any collapsed lines if necessary.

3. Link a screenshot of the ad, a description of the problem and a screenshot of the dev tools window in this thread.

Ads should never slow the page loading since we specifically request asynchronous scripts to avoid this. If our main ad provider has problems it might be slow to load once or twice, but once the script is in your cache there should be no further slowdown.

FYI I'm having consistent lag of ~1s on almost every click while on TL whenever the action is taken immediately after the page loads. For example, I click the subscribed threads link at the top left of TL, then as soon as the page draws I go to click the > arrow next to one of my active threads with new posts, and there is a delay.

edit: another example: When the thread I had clicked on draws, I click the center mouse button for scrolling, and my cursor is frozen in place for roughly a second. I don't know if this is due to ads or not.

There is a minimum 1sec delay between actions on TL, if you're really clicking that quick you may be running into that but it's very unlikely. It sounds more like a CPU issue on your end, maybe some browser extensions / security software / malware.

It seems to be timed the same as the ads. I am having the same problem with both chrome and ie. I ran a malware scan yesterday (Malwarebytes) and nothing turned up (also have up to date MSE). I have not added any security software. My CPU gauge seems to spike during the problem so I think you are right it is CPU-related.

edit: installing adblock makes the slowdown go away (maybe I was getting hammered by a particular ad that was CPU abusive?)

I'm getting an NSFW ad on LDota. It has bunch of tech products in windows with individual links, so I'm not sure which one to pull. Occasionally one of them is a pair of boobs. Link one of the products leads to is:

My browser (FF 36.0.1 on Windows, latest version as well as the 64-bit developer alpha) frequently (every 5 -30 minutes) crashes on Liquipedia. I suspect it's an ad issue because it hasn't happed since I've installed NoScript. Malware checks are fine and it doesn't happen on other websites.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to isolate a single ad (provider) causing this yet.

Chevrolet ADS for my region are being pop-ed out whenever I open TL, or new TL tab.

First time ever in my 100 years on TL.
Don´t like it!

I found this ad, but I couldn't reproduce the pop up effect. I blocked it anyway, it may take up to 24 hours to apply though.

Hey something is up lately. I'm on my phone and pretty much every page has a flashing banner ad, like the dish Latino soccor ad.

And more feedback on the mobile: my phone is really lagging on TL, but only on TL. Also there is an issue with the texting feature in replying constantly blinking on and off. Sometimes I select reply and then prepare to type, but the qwerty board never pops up... Sometimes it flickers. Again, this only happens on TL. Not even on Gawker.

I actually am typing this in gawker and pasting it in TL. Don't know if it's ad related, but consider this bonus mobile feedback. Anyone else having this issue?

You can click the info icon and report the specific ad directly to Google. I saw the ad in our control panel, but there were no boobs, just various knock off products. Deal Extreme is a pretty well known site so I really doubt they have bad ads like that.

So I have no idea what's going on, but I figured I'd report it anyway as I think it must be an ad.

Something is randomly redirecting me away from TeamLiquid and onto an ad page, automatically. This happens in the main window, and if I press the back button, I go back to TL and get a different ad. I have no way of telling what ad is doing it as it transfers me instantly (before it loads, basically).

Can I make Chrome automatically open things in target="_blank" so that I can stay on the page and maybe catch the ad in question when it tries to pull this bullshit?

Info:
I'm on Chrome,
I don't have adware or malware to the best of my knowledge (I have MalwareBytes and Hitman Pro),
I only have Chrome extensions I trust (and there is no adware in there),
I have TL+ but I have checked to see ads anyway,
I have no idea what exactly is causing this.

Edit:
Ad tag (found at the bottom of the page) was TF_INT,
and it redirects me to http://ccebba93.se/?placement=400909&redirect which then redirects me to the actual ad.
Edit2:
And now I went to

automatically.

Still no clue why this is automatic.

Disabled all extensions, still happening. Also running HitmanPro again right now, but it's not finding anything.

No problems found in MalwareBytes, Hitman Pro, or MSE.

You can find out more information by leaving the developer tool window open (F12) and opening the network tab, then ticking "preserve log". All network activity for the window will then be logged, so you can narrow down which things were loaded before the redirect happened.

I'm getting this ad on LD, the ad plays a loud beep on mouse hover and it's animated. It's severely affecting the perfomance of the page, very visible when I try to scroll and the page hangs a bit. No button to mute this ad unlike the google ads :/

Sorry, i didn't get a link address since I changed pages before i thought to do that. First time an ad has been like this for me, usually get the mom's pantry ad and the galaxy s whatever ad.
