Hello! I have got recently some problems choosing mechanical keyboard. I have never got any mechanical keyboards so i dont have any experience of them. So i have been thinking about which one of these i will buy:
Das Keyboard (with brown or blue switches) Zowie Celeritas (brown switches and i wouldnt have to order it from abroad) SteelSeries 6Gv2 SteelSeries 7G (yes i could spend that 20e for wrist rest..) Razer BlackWidow Ultimate (less interested about this keyboard cause POOR quality -.-) Filco Majestouch (i have heard its really good and quality. i would get it with brown switches)
Someone got any experince of any of them ? You could also suggest other keyboards if you got one in your mind. Hopefully i can solve which one of them im going to order tomorrow :D. Thanks!

razer blackwidow has great build quality, had mine for a couple of months now. keys take a little wearing in but after that you can nearly touch type on it
only complaint is that its very loud due to the blue switches

Professionnal Model S Das Keyboard is an awesome well-built keyboard. The blue switches are loud but you get used to it really fast . The only problem is that they don't have the tenkeyless version only the full one and if you don't need the macro keys and just want a simple looking keyboard. I recommend this one .though the shipping is wierd and i don't know if they can ship directly from daskeyboard.com or a reseller but you should definetly look it up

I got a Das Keyboard (brown switches) about four months ago and it's great. I've had no issues with it and enjoy typing and playing games (SC2 and TF2) with it. I've recommended it to a few friends as well. I haven't used any of the other keyboards you have listed but I don't think you will regret getting a Das.

Can you get Das Keyboard in Finland?
|
das is good and the only real complaints nowadays are from people that dont like the glossy finish (it does suck if you dont clean it every day, i have one with browns)
celeritas is overpriced imo, and i hate large enter keys and small backspace keys. highly doubt the rtr thing is anything more than marketing, just like higher dpi.
steelseries are good if you like black switches. havent tried unfortunately.
blackwidow NOT ULTIMATE is worth the price, because its mechanical for $80. ultimate i dont think is worth the price, but then i personally want a tenkeyless.
filco comes in tenkeyless which are awesome. basically same as das except not glossy.

Will mechanical keyboards improve your game play a lot than using a regular keyboard? Since all people are asking for mechanical keyboards and all pros use it.

Bought one (brown switch) from keyboardco.com a week ago and I am super happy with it, it just screams quality and is so nice to type on. Upgraded from a Saitek Eclipse by the way.

Not really, people just want them because they are so much nicer to type on then normal keyboards. It may be a little better for some people I guess because you can really tell when a key is pressed but realistically that wont make any difference.

It says the Swedish ones are out of stock for me

Still really not sure about should i buy it. My friend had one problem with it. Space and Alt were stuck on bottom sometimes when he was playing.. Ill still think that ^^

I didnt to do any double triple post so i answer here for every message heh..
ginger957: I think i should order it directly from their offical site. Really not sure about blue switches. I think that clicky sound is really nice and those are fun to type but not sure about would i like them when playing..
Clontarf: Hmm.. i really have to think about that keyboard too. I was first going to buy keyboard with black switches but many people says that browns are better for gaming and typing. But if i get browns there still Filco, Celeritas and Das. Probably Das or Filco.
hugman: No i cant
vicariouscheese: Thanks for your view! I really think im not going to buy BlackWidow due the build quility which seems to be quite poor. At least what i have heard. I have also get used to big enter key and small backspace because theres always those keys in keyboards that has finnish layout i think so that wouldnt be problem. Celeritas, Das w/ blues or browns and 7G sound pretty nice. Maybe even Filco lol..
Goodseed: Maybe little bit.. At least some pros says that its much easier to play with mechanical cause the feel of them etc. Im not sure..
Btw thanks for all of your replies !!! Those have been really helpful heh. I think ill drop BlackWidow and think about Celeritas, Das, 7G/6Gv2 and Filco more. Also question for people who got blue switches: I have heard that when using blue switches and tapping some key really fast it wont everytime register second hit? Is that true?

why are there 8 threads like that ? :/
+why did you not consider a cherry keyboard?
|
|
At the price, I'm doubtful that that is a mechanical keyboard.
EDIT: Actually never mind, that is a mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX brown switches. In that case, it may be something good to look into.
