Update: VOD of the show is now online: http://djwheat.blip.tv/file/4686030/
I promise you one day I will make that all inclusive thread with every show.
Live On Three #68 with djWHEAT, Slasher & SirScoots is tonight with a recap of the ESL IEM European Championships. I have made the rounds and can happily say we are fortunate enough to bring on the three champions in Quake Live, Starcraft 2 & CS 1.6 even as the early morning hours hit. First time and long-awaited Quake Live champion Anton "Cooller" Singov, Sweden's continued dominance in SC2 with Jeffrey "SjoW" Brusi, and fnatic's Patrik "cArn" Sättermon showing what a leader is capable of.
GSL S4 Finals: - Preview and predictions of the S4 Grand Finals between MVP and MarineKing, the first GSL Terran champion. - Recap of the Ro4 and Ro8 - IdrA & Jinro foreigner losses, NaDa gets swept, NesTea the last Zerg hope goes down. - What four foreigners should go to Code A for S5?
News includes: - Danish CS 1.6 player assault by Ukranian police at IEM, forced bribery with police (http://www.hltv.org/news/6068-ze-assaulted-by-ukrainian-police) - Controversy hits Quake Live in Cooller/strenx semifinal with lag issues 2 minutes in the fifth map, the power cutting out, and now an infamous 27-second replay. (http://www.esfiworld.com/ql/match/2011-01-23-strenx-vs-cooller) - Grubby rumored to leave EG for Chinese team to play WC3 in China instead of SC2 (http://www.tatazu.com/index.php?action-viewnews-itemid-16062) - ESEA Founder Craig Levine confirms SC2 finals for it's inaugural season will be held online, not at their Dallas LAN (http://vvvgaming.podbean.com/2011/01/20/losers-bracket-round-51/)
Show starts at 00:00 GMT (+00:00) (7 PM EST/01:00 CET for those without their timezone set) and can be seen live at http://www.djWHEAT.tv/live.php

i miss the old lo3 time on sunday 01:00 CET makes me a sad panda bear guy
|
Yeah... Having it 01:00 CET is removing 90% of all european listers. I will not listen to this, maybe, if I find my way back to the site on some other day when it's recorded.
|
All the European players are staying up! You can too! There are VOD's afterwards
|
or
change back to your old time slot 22:00 CET just not on a sunday(i know that doesn't work out great with all the weekend events all the time)

If that isn't meme worthy, I don't know what is.
But really, the lineup for tonight looks great. Pretty sick, in my opinion, that you managed to get champs from all three events. I'll be a little late tuning in, but I will be tuning in.

The moment I don't have to support my family with a full-time job... I'll think about it! I wouldn't hold your breath tho...

I can confirm that the Grubby to Tyloo is false. Cassandra responded to the news here - http://news.replays.net/page/20110122/1542844.html - and I asked Grubby and he told me it was false. Tatazu simply assumed that because Grubby's contract was expiring, which we don't know, and that Panda needed an additional player to compete in CEPL (Chinese WC3 team league sponsored by Chinese government) that it could be a possibility.
|
Will stay up and watch this just because of the awesome lineup but 1 am CET is to late for me to regularly tune in
Well, don't want to be a buzzkill today's show sounds amazing! I can see cooler be a bit, ehmmm, cool..? and not so fun to listen too but cArn is really talkative and SjoW is not to bad either.
Today's Quake matches got me into Quake btw, it's awesome to play and completely free. Setup takes five minutes and you play it in your browser. Gameplay is super fun and you do not get crushed to badly as a new player if you join a server with 8+ people
Where are the vods hosted btw? I did not know that there were vods for previous LO3 so will go and check some of those out (a search will most likely yield results so you don't have to answer)

Sounds like a great show tonight!
As for the time change, as busy as the weekends are because of various tournaments, it doesn't surprise me that they moved to a weekday.
