EDIT: I'd imagine that yes you will need GOM player, but its a small download and I have not noticed anything wrong such as spyware, and it actually makes it even easier to get tuned in.

That'll put a less stress on VOD bandwidth. Well, will they? I think that re-streaming of a free stream is absolutely valid. Is like making copies of OpenTV Channels and giving them for free. What is illegal is to charge for a free service (charge for restreaming a free stream or selling OPENTV animes that aren't copyrighted outside of japan for example)

re-streaming the GSL's HD live/vods is another story. edit: on another note, I'm surprised TL.net hasn't been warning/temp banning/closing threads of people blatantly shouting out that they'll be actively trying to restream the GSL prior to the free LQ stream notice or posting torrents to the VODs.

and about VOD's... well that's illegal without even thinking, since you should pay for them.

What is illegal is to charge for a free service (charge for restreaming a free stream or selling OPENTV animes that aren't copyrighted outside of japan for example) Or you could just read the Terms of Service and find out that it is not legal. "Unless the user has been specifically permitted to do so in a separate agreement with 'Gretech', the user agrees not to modify, rent, lend, sell, distribute all the contents (all or parts of it) related to the 'Services' and cannot create a secondary content based on the contents." Additionally, the only way that Gom knows if you are watching the stream is if you use Gom, so why anyone would want to damage the numbers by restreaming is beyond me. In the case of OGN/MBC streams, there was no alternative, and they didn't care about foreign hits. It's important to have representation so they can provide a better service.
