I heard that setting yourself to 'veteran' made it more likely for you to be put into the Plat division.

Yeah, alright. I picked a non-veteran one, and noticed that the speed wasn't the fastest, which is of course a bummer for a SC player like me. But yeah, played 2 matches now, totally rolled over my opponents so I don't think getting to the Platinum League will be hard.

I got in the very first wave and it showed up in my b.net account basically as soon as the beta started but I didn't get my e-mail until the next day. Once it's on your account you can just download it, you don't need the e-mail (at least, that's how it worked for me. I was opt-in).
I checked the mail but nothing, then i read your comment, i checked my bnet account and... BOOOM!!!! I'm aaaaall in.
Thnx for the advice

Faster is the new fastest. Also if you picked novice and didn't skip the novice maps then those games don't even count.

Wait I'm going to check my BNET account.... "FACE PALM" That's what I get for hoping.... =**(

I think I'm just gonna forget about the beta for a while and just play BW again untill the game actually releases :p
I think that's gonna be better for my mental health :p

Oh yeah, I just got a beta key.
Damnit that I peaked at like 299x points on Iccup last season, guess I will never reach the yeallow ranks now.

Hell yeah! Downloading right now.
EDIT whoa 10-20 hours for 1.64GB... ya I don't have the fastest internet, but that's still quite slow...

I wanted to know if any Blizzcon code holders have gotten their email yet? (because apparently we dont get "auto" SC2 to our accounts).
Im a Blizzcon holder and have failed to get into beta first wave and the mini wave they sent out last week. So im hoping to get in today... (with my luck prob not).
But i have seen on the forums that only opt-ins have gotten their keys so far and gotten their beta through their account rather not through e-mail.
Thanks!!

I got in too. No mail yet, just checked my b.net Account and there it was. Perfect timing because I finished my paper for university yesterday and basically I've one month free time in front of me.

I wasn't aware of anyone from blizzcon that didn't get in first wave. Are you sure you're registered properly with a 2008 Blizzcon Key?

Yeah mate, me and 2 mates went to Blizzcon and put ours keys in properly as it stated. Still nothing. We are from Australia? Maybe blizzard are biased to Aussies lol?

Has anyone that's gotten in actually been able to log in to the game? Not just the Battle.net website, but the actual game itself via the client.
Whenever I try to log in it says that my account has no Starcraft 2 license associated with it. Trying to figure out if I'm the only one...
Edit: And yes, I am definitely in. The game shows up on my Battle.net profile, I can download from the website, I can take the beta survey, and I can log in to the beta forums (but can't post due to not having an "SC2 Character" created).
