But at least there isn't any orc in the group. edit- actually what the fuck, those groups are fucked. There are human/elf in each group but double UD and double Orc. I really wonder whether or not that was intentional, as we all know that Undead players tend to have quite a bit of trouble with Orcs. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the organizers purposely made the groups this way in an attempt to improve the balance and variety of the tournament. If it wasn't intentional, it seems like a pretty odd coincidence, unless the groups were randomly drawn. Either way, it definitely works in TeD and FoV's favor for the obvious reason that you stated in your second sentence. I'd be willing to bet that they're both pretty happy that they don't have to tangle with Grubby or Lyn early on. If they get lucky, one of them may get eliminated (or both if they're really lucky), but I would personally be very surprised if Lyn at least didn't make it through the group stage. Seems like a pretty nice tournament over all, and it's definitely great to have two experienced players shoutcasting the event. In my opinion this is very very important, maybe even more so than in StarCraft (don't hold me to that ), simply because so many important aspects of the game are subtle and not visible to the average player. Experienced players like ToD and Rotterdam are able to bring these subtleties to the attention of the viewers and hopefully enable them to appreciate the game more and possibly even learn something new. It would be nice if more tournaments had experienced players help with the shoutcasting. | ||
