Pretty awesome games tonight. The FoV vs Ted games were incredible. It was really interesting to watch two players with very different play styles in a mirror match.

Im enjoying watching this. I always kinda enjoyed playing 1v1 WC3 and watching pro reps. Its a totally different vibe from SC but kinda nice. The commentary is fun and smart too, unlike GOM's SC league that seems unable to do more than make played jokes and point out the obvious

I've never played or watched any wc3 before. It's exciting but the battles are pretty difficult for me to follow.

Its mostly about hero usage/making sure heroes dont die and microing the crucial units later on in the battle.

The heroes all have a few abilities or some sort of aura that strengthens their own units and most units from Tier 2 and up have at least 1 ability. They explain a lot in the commentary though and talk about whats typical and what is surprising, definitely listen closely if you are having trouble figuring out whats going on.

Yeah ToD and Rotterdam's casting is excellent, they really do a good job of keeping people entertained and explaining important parts of the game. Like I've said hundreds of times before, there's so many subtleties to the game, and it really helps to have players of their caliber discuss and point out these subtleties. If you just simply watch the game and the fights, there's really a whole lot that you're missing out on.

Last night's matches were both pretty interesting. They were definitely upsets from what I had expected, and they changed around my predictions for the group a bit.

Sky can no longer advance no matter what, and FoV automatically advances. Now the winner of TeD vs Hot moves on, while Sky vs FoV is more or less just for honor. I was kinda expecting Hot to be the one that gets eliminated right away, and TeD to be the sure bet to move on. I'd still place my money on TeD beating Hot though.

Not as excited about Grubby vs Lyn tomorrow, but I think Moon vs Infi should be really entertaining if both players are performing well.

I was also happy with HoT, but just because I hate Sky.

Nice games today and very nice commentary, they are improving together as the tourney progresses which is good. Really enjoyed last game's commentary with FoV and TeD too.
