God's Garden has good stats for Z, TheZerg is the best SKT zerg by far, so seems reasonable to send him, as Bisu/Fantasy/Best already had to prepare for other games tonight.

I guess SKT just didn't expect this would go to the Ace game. (maybe a little bit of arrogance?)

I mean even if Bisu lost this ace match, it would've been still the best strategic choice by the coach. Now all that happened is that he compromised his coaching skills with not sending his best player in a decisive game, having in mind the same player had 8 min walk in the park with his game. I doubt TheZerg even practiced for this ace match...

Liquibet be damned, Hite's revenge for the Bisu dance was totally worth it.

Agreeing with everything except the last sentence. I doubt he didn't practice for a ZvZ...

Thezerg didnt practice for only 1 matchup or player. Even thinking this is ridiculous. The fact alone that his build was an almost exact mirror of Hogils is evidence enough that he was well prepared for a Zerg opponent; both using a well refined build that suits the map. He wasn't in the line-up for maps 1-4 so he only had to prepare for ace.
I have certainly found various ace choices weird or bad in the past (and complained about it too), this one was ok. Just because you lose in the ace match doesn't mean your player choice was wrong. I'm not saying there were no other possibly viable choices, but this one was viable too.
Relying on only one player for ace (and T1 has used Bisu a lot) is dangerous. T1 is in a good position right now, if they want to give Thezerg exposure in ace matches now is a good time for it.

But this decision is like Oz sending Backho out on a protoss favored map instead of Jaedong...

Year sure, maybe he helped out Huyk for his game, but even so, I really doubt even the most diehard zvz prepared DaZurg can do better than Bisu, which has about 100 games in each MU, not to mention he has brilliant skills when it comes to pick up strats and adapting on the spot. Tbh I really questioned T1 coach's choice for line-up given the maps...but meh, its pointless to lose anymore fanboysh brain cells because of some coaches effort to be *extra strategic and clever*

I really don't see what the problem with that is...Jaedong has to play too many games, sending out Backho on a Toss-favored map or Hiya on a Terran-favored map for ACE rather than Jaedong completely makes sense to me. Jaedong can rest more, and he has less to prepare for, which means he can prepare better.

I only said TheZerg couldn't have not practiced at all.
I think the coach sent out TheZerg because of what happened in the OSL prelims.
