He looked vulnerable in groups the 4 times he won GSL too. The only Terran on his side of the bracket is KeeN who should not advance another round. Maru's winrate against Zerg in best of 3+ series is nearly 90%. He's not that beatable. On September 07 2019 17:53 Schelim wrote: predicting a TY vs Keen finals Maybe you should go back to bed

Ragnarok just needs to figure out to win the proxyrax games, which will inevitably come and have been a wingrabber for Maru. Maru needs to figure out how to win tvz lategame, which I think is a lot more difficult.

Maru's been doing those builds for a long time and he still wins most of the time. Because even if 2-rax doesn't do that much it's still fine to play things out. I don't think RagnaroK can just suddenly find the complete and total perfect shutdown for proxy 2-rax that nobody else has ever found, and do so in less than half a week.

Zest's pvp was really impressive today! It’s just a different mirror, they all have their merits to me nowadays, whereas in the past PvP was just kind of bad. Nowadays I like that it’s very strategic and improvisational, plus there are a lot of small unit skirmishes so Protoss can really micro their hearts out in a way that you can’t when armies approx max.

TY not winning his group was what made Maru's road to the finals considerably easier; Ragnarok is a dark horse, I doubt he will eliminate Maru at all but his ZvT is nice and he is on the rise, he's the darkest of horses and he could surprise us. Classic has been underestimated for the majority of his career while this year he was actually overrated: I personally found he wasn't playing great Starcraft(Gumiho horribly threw the series at Super Tournament, for example, and he won most of his PvZ cheesing and abusing timing pushes), but Classic's results were still good and consistent enough to make him the best Protoss in Korea; he wasn't really superior to the pack, just the best among them, unlike many were saying.

Is that a thing in Italian or just an honest mistake? That aside I think there's a case for Classic to have been the worst PvT player in the group so I wasn't necessarily talking about him.

I am not even realizing I am writing that, I must have written it once and endlessly repeated due to autofill! Thank you for making me notice, Italian language has nothing to do with the extra h. Zest beating Maru in 2019? I don't think so. Dear might beat Maru in a weekender I guess, but in Code S...he wasted the best occasion he had.

Maru loses to Protoss outside of Code S and slaughters them in Code S, I think Zerg may have a better chanCe.

Meomaika only all-ins and I think Zerg all-ins against Terran are mostly pretty crappy. But Rag can be my guest and try to cheese Maru every game. That'd at least be something to laugh at.
