Can someone who knows more discuss the similarities and differences? i think you are referring to one game he played vs larva he went 5fact gol mech and one game he opened 2 fact speedvult into vessel/gol both won him the games the 5 fact gol is quite old but not old skool i would call it.. its around the time that destination map was played in progleague and a lot of pro-terrans where experimenting mech openings/builds 2fact vult harass also seen on destination alot, transition into gol was not uncommon

Super interested to watch any SC2 games by flash post-retirement. I read in an interview that he has played some on stream a few times. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find them as I suspect they will be labelled in Korean? Thank you!

Can someone who knows more discuss the similarities and differences? Flash messes up with different builds and pulls out wins vs everyone with everything. This is again a thing that he is just sooo much better than anyone.. His game executions is always perfect, even in a messy unorthodox game.

I have watched most of his gaming after starting streaming and don't think he played much if any games in SC2. He initially stated he is to stream multiple games and do some SC2 gaming but think he was too much drawn and in love in BW. I've seen him comment/re-stream on the big SC2 tournaments and gather with TY/Stats/Zest (some time ago) but that's how far he went I believe.

it was just sad to see his superior mechanics being worthless in sc2

Flash was definitely not that successful in SC2, how he possibly can dominate the same way? Nevertheless he won Toronto in the most impressive run overcoming top form Zest (qualifier + tournament worth a watch).

Micro is entirely different, macro as well obviously, having tight timings are arguably not quite a mechanic because it's a 100% mental thing. Flash made a single ro8 in a starleague in sc2 and that was in the first OSL where it was arguably easier (kespa and esf players only mixed in the ro16). For the rest of his starleague career he didn't make it once. In proleague he did better and was top 5 in two seasons out of four in the player standings. In weekenders he did fairly well with three ro4s, two 2nd places and one win. Overall he had a decent sc2 career, but he definitely wasn't a constant top 3 contender and especially his micro and multitasking were weaker than that of other top terrans.

He didnt keep up. everyone in the pro gaming scene agrees that flash hence his nickname name God, he is on another level than anyone in the scene. it is not because ''he didnt keep up'' (what nonsense is that what do you even mean lol) it is because sc2 has a low skill ceiling compared to SCR . players with amazing multi/macro mechanics don't benefit from that in sc2.
