In weekenders he did fairly well
fairly well my ass, he had top3 finishes in all of the years he played SC2. I don't know what that is if not consistency. You gonna tell me other powerhouses never had slumps? Life didn't die to Sjow? Parting and Maru never choked? Bomber, Taeja and Polt didn't phase in and out of the top cohort? The only thing Flash was unlucky with is the starleagues, but he only ever lost to the very top guys like Maru, Parting, Zest etc. Flash was easily top10 material except for a few bad months don't remember which year. And I don't know why you say his multitasking was subpar. He wasn't the best, but there were very few terrans who could do better.
Anyway, who gives a shit about SC2 when Flash is the best progamer in the best esport there is
I think describing his weekend results as "doing fairly well" is pretty fair, you seem to disagree. Not sure where this slump rant is coming from, i simply pointed out his results in all three major categories of sc2 competition and then gave an opinion on what it means for his overall sc2 career. Now you already backed off from constant top 3 contender to top10 material which is definitely more reasonable at least. I said his multitasking was weaker than that of other top terrans like Maru or TY for example, same with his micro. I only brought this up because bw people always seem to attack the game rather than simply conceiding that flash's ability at the game wasn't the best and that being the reason why he didn't do better than he did.
Sc2 as a topic came up and some people made posts misrepresenting things, it is only fair that other posters are allowed to reply to these uninformed comments. There is no "best esport", you are obviously free to prefer bw over everything else though.
wait wut anyone wanted to discuss flash sc2 skills? (lol) get out of here sc2 is no where near as demanding to a players apm/mechanical skills as SCR this is an obvious fact since sc2 has multi select auto targetting hotkeying production/units under 1 hotkey.
Ok kids, cut it out with the BW vs SCII bs. Next person to continue this fruitless debate is getting a temp. Stick to discussing Flash's stream in this thread!

Flash made a single ro8 in a starleague in sc2 and that was in the first OSL where it was arguably easier (kespa and esf players only mixed in the ro16). For the rest of his starleague career he didn't make it once. In proleague he did better and was top 5 in two seasons out of four in the player standings. In weekenders he did fairly well with three ro4s, two 2nd places and one win. Overall he had a decent sc2 career, but he definitely wasn't a constant top 3 contender and especially his micro and multitasking were weaker than that of other top terrans.
you don't have to place top 3 in every tournament to be a top 3 contender.

you don't even have to place top 3 ever to be a contender. Otherwise there'd be exactly 3 contenders and they all would be determined post factum, which is useless. Usually there would be 5 to 10 players expected to make semis, of which a couple are clear favorites. Being a contender means just being good enough to consistently challenge the top dogs and have some success. When your chances against them reach 50% that literally means you're equally strong. Flash wasn't the best in SC2 but he also certainly wasn't "nothing special" like some people here suggest.
I just checked in on Flash's stream since I saw he had almost 10k viewers. He seems to just be in a sad/bad mood talking to the camera. Anyone have any idea what he's talking about?

because of his ex-girlfriend Ryu, Ji Hye was drunk and said on the stream that she aborted a baby because of him 8 years ago.
The thing is Flash didn't even know she was pregnant, and aborted a baby without his decision. She did tell flash her baby was removed, but went to the hospital to abort a baby with her male friend like WTF. That's why he is having a bad mood.
Even Naver top search was about flash and his ex-gf and abortion. Korean News writers are so dumb and decided to make Flash a bad guy, and Ji Hye is a victim of this case.
ALSO, there's one News writer fucking captured a picture from Flash's video about his arm surgery with subs where he says "μμ μ μλ μ νκ³ μ νλ² λ μμ μ ν΄λ΄€μ"(Note: Korean language can drop the subject in the beginning. "(I) did the surgery long time go and even if (I) do it again.") This sentence can interpret to an another meaning to people who don't know about Flash and StarCraft scene.

Maybe I'm missing something. I get that this is embarrassing for Flash, but why is this *such* a big story that it's number one on Naver right now? It's not like either of them did anything illegal, right?
abortion is illegal in korea. secondly 2 public figures that werent married, one of them being a "gamer nerd" having a kid is newsworthy in a conservative society like korea.
