Brock is their best option. But i dont think he a long term solution. I do think he would be worth having as the starter if they are going to draft a rookie, and nake that rookie compete to get the job. But with their defense i would rather see them sign cousins or another vet use the first on a instant difference maker and go for it.
I just want to see the Broncos sign Eli just for the sake of completing the Manning prophecy. But I think that they will re-sign Brock, draft a QB early, and try to transition by Week 5 next year. There aren't many veteran QBs on the market besides Cousins and maybe Jimmy G, so the FA market is really shallow in that respect.
A lot of teams are weak at QB going into next year, or at least are in a position where they need to re-evaluate what they will do going forward:
Arizona Cardinals: Will they really stick with Gabbert?
Baltimore Ravens: Will Joe Flacco be there much longer?
Buffalo Bills: They really seem to want to replace Tyrod.
Cincinnati Bengals: They HAVE to move on from Andy Dalton....
Cleveland Browns: Kizer is not the answer for this organization.
Denver Broncos: Discussed above
Jacksonville Jaguars: Pending the playoffs, will Blake Bortles get a new contract?
Los Angeles Chargers: This is Phil Rivers' last year. They need someone new.
Miami Dolphins: Tannehill or someone new?
New York Giants: Who will replace Eli?
New York Jets: Who will replace McCown?
Pittsburgh Steelers: Big Ben is on the verge of retiring, and Landry Jones is not fit to start.
Tampa Bay Buccanneers: Is Winston going to be there long term or is his immaturity going to be his downfall.
Washington Redskins: If Cousins leaves, who is next?
That is a long list for such a small FA market. Seems like the Draft will be a battle for a new QB.
