Hello, I am a fan of "iloveoov" (Yeonsung Choi), who was one of the greatest players of the Broodwar and coach of the SKT T1 SC2 team. As you know, the SKT T1 SC2 team disbanded... Me and other fans of him want to cheer him up collecting fans' messages. Actually, upcoming 5th of November is his 33rd birthday
If you liked his game play of the Broodwar, or if you were a fan of SKT T1, could you please leave your message in this thread? We'll translate your message to Korean and put it in the message book that we'll send to him.
We are collecting messages until the end of October.
Thank you!

I didn't know about BW until Star 2 came out, but luckily there is plenty of stuff on the internet and I went ahead and caught up to a lot of bw stuff. Watching oov's games, especially his final against boxer was mind blowing to me and seeing him tear up over beating his mentor is one of the greatest moments in esports history. I was very happy when SKT announced that Oov would replace Boxer as coach and they were incredibly successful under his leadership, both in Proleague and individual leagues. I may not be that much of a SKT fan, but when I see Oov I just have to cheer for him and his team, his playstyle and coaching skills will never be forgotten. Yeonsung Choi fighting!

I have so much respect for Oov - he was exactly the kind of leader that the SC2 scene needed, his professionalism and philosophy was apparent in every interview. I'm still awed by the powerhouse that was SK Telecom in 2015 - the team looked damn near invincible.
Happy birthday and best wishes to Head Coach iloveoov, in all his future endeavors.

Oov was such a god when he played broodwar . And also a great coach skt players all seemed so strong with him at the helm.

Thank you so much for training and helping the players on SKT! You helped shape Starcraft to be what it is today, your role was subtle, but it can't be overlooked. Happy birthday and have a nice day! iloveoov fighting~!

In my mind he was the third dominator of BW after Boxer and Nada. He was the first I noticed to use extremely optimized builds that he could make work in any circumstances with subtle adjustments. Eco-centered builds notably with a fast expo vs Z, I remember that. People seemed to be trying crazy attacks including fast guardians as if to say "you can't just do this every game" or something haha.

As a player you achieved something special, raising the level of competition as others tried to beat you. I'll always remember your great play and coaching.

I joined this wonderful esport too late, but watched most of the important bw finals and matches. Oov did so much for the scene as a player and later as a coach. Starcraft thanks you for everything.

iloveoov, you're my incarnation of the perfect StarCraft player : someone with great mechanics but also a brain able to create new strategies and set new standards. You always were one step ahead of the others, this has been true for you as a coach and will stay true in the future. Happy birthday!

Thank you for all your important contributions to the game and scene! Have a wonderful birthday and good luck going forward!

Ever since i first got into BW back when i was 11(2010) i was looking at progamer VoDs. Once i switched to Terran you were my inspiration. Yes,you were not By.FlaSh. You were much more, you have the brain of a chess player and the speed and dexterity of a pianist. You will, forever and ever have a special place in my upbringing as a kid. Enjoy your birthday and good luck in everything you take up.
iloveoov Hwaiting!
P.S : Hope to see you streaming BW on afreeca some day, show these new kids what the oldschool is like. P.S # 2: iloveoov's Oldboy anyone?
