Introduction
After 8 weeks of grueling preliminaries and tiebreakers, 32 players have finally emerged from the depths of hell. What awaits them is no picnic though as each player will be hoping to make their mark by defeating their next opponent to advance to the Ro16.
With the start of the Ro32, several new maps have been added including Neo Jade and Neo Overwatch, a map created by a foreigner map maker. How the players will fare on these new maps remains to be seen but one thing is certain, we are just getting started! Can we feel the hype?
Make sure to tune in on Sunday, March 06 at 2:00pm EST (GMT-05:00) as both Sayle & LRM)Cats_Paw will entertain us with their knowledgeable and fun cast!

Stare at this face. Adorable isn't?
This is trutaCz the polish nightmare, the crayfish Zerg. TrutaCz comes out of the prelims with a 14-1 record proving to be nearly unbeatable. It’s typical though isn’t it? There’s always one foreigner that has to separate themselves from the pack. It was Sziky, Scan, and now we start 2016 off with trutaCZ putting on a show of dominance. The pattern reminds me of the Lernaean Hydra. The hydra is a mythological serpent beast that would regrow its head whenever one was chopped off. With scan being the the latest head to be lopped off we now have trutaCZ as the new head.
Fourteen Zergs, twelve Protoss, and six Terrans fill up the top 32 roster. While the task looks daunting for Terran’s to find a champion the first round purge looks favorable for them. 5 ZvZs and 3 PvPs guarantee slimming numbers for the Protoss and Zerg. Setting aside mirror matchups, here are my big 3 predictions for this Sunday. Oh and I rated them by famous mythological wars!
The war of Mahabharata
Koget (10-6) vs Ty2 (9-6)
Widely regarded as the war of righteousness, this TvZ battle couldn’t be better. Both Koget and Ty2 are beloved community members and rank very closely in their skill level. Yet when it comes to experience, Koget has the upper hand. Koget can actually brag that he has beaten both Mana and White-ra in high stakes tournaments all the way back between 2009-2010. Both were players competing at extremely high levels before the SC2 switch. Ty2 has a high task at hand, but a victory here is possible.
Prediction: Ty2 2:1 kogeT
Angels vs Satan
Julia (12-4) vs Remag (8-7)
According to the Bible’s Book of revelation, the war of heaven is the clash between the angels who were led by archangel Michael and the dragon associated with the “Satan” who is defeated. It is no mystery that the most polarizing foreign player in the past four years has been Julia. Many of us (including myself) have even grown to love the magical BM that transpires at the most precious times during his matches. Remag is at a big disadvantage here because KESPA rules have not been invoked. We all are eager to find out, can he endure Boxer level mind games and overcome his opponent?
Prediction: Remag 2-1 Julia
The Battle of the Titans (The Titanomachy)
Cryoc (12-4) vs LancerX (8-7)
The Battle of the Titans was a war that was fought between the first primeval deities of Ancient Greece and the gods and goddesses who would become known as the Olympian. Anyone who followed foreign Starcraft back in 2013 knows that these two players were the best of their respective races. No doubt, when they are fully practiced, they should be feared. In terms of pedigree this really is a Titan vs Olympian matchup . Cryoc earned four silver placements from 2012-2014 and LancerX earned 8 golds in the same time span. The past may favor LancerX, but the prelims show us that Cryoc is closer to his top form. This is the highest recommended series to watch live this Sunday.
Prediction: Cryoc 2-1 LancerX
Let's be honest, the TeamLiquid Legacy Starleague Championship means everything for the foreign community. In the way that the TSL meant so much for foreign starcraft, TeamLiquid strives to once again make its mark in Brood War history by organizing the TLS. After the tournament ran 3 successful events in 2013, our hero Rus_Brain, the sole sponsor of the championship series and 2015 Legacy Cups has helped lead us to this final point. In five short weeks from now a new champion will be named.
