this so much. I would not want to have him kicked since he is a good asset skill wise, but some kind of major disciplinary action is in order.

There is no reason to play from 15:11, the server went already nuts when it stand 14:11 and massive lags occured in the round losers team. The lobbying for one of the teams certainly looks extremly unprofessional, as unprofessional as the male pros tweets for this. That someone simple minded then says it in such drastic way is off, but the core stands: The massive lobbying against the admin decision was bullshit.

Well I just created this topic here because s1mple is part of team liquid

Well he's pretty specifically talking about girls. He says "girls so stupid", and then makes the connection to sucking dick. Now I'm not very much into the social justice fight as Tumblr sees it, I think I'm pretty down to earth when it comes to those things and I don't view every mildly sexist transgression as an attack on the female gender, but let's get real, that tweet is shitty. Part of it is undoubtedly that s1mple is young and uh... not to be patronizing but there's a cultural disconnect. I'm pretty sure Ukraine is a lot less anal about sexism than the West, they're a lot less politically correct in general, so he'll have to learn to get his shit together, especially if he's going to be playing on a US team with US sponsors. Still I can imagine these kinds of bad "jokes" being said sarcastically to make a comment about a specific person. I have a buddy who's Greek and I've been known to say things like "greeks are so dumb, they all behave like (my buddy did)". I believe s1mple was having a silly twitter argument with some girl gamer who was berating him or something like that. Still, bad for business when done in public. Young guy's gonna have to learn. It's a good thing I didn't have twitter when I was his age. It's funny thought, thorin just tweeted about how Reginald, the owner of TSM would call people faggots on Twitter in 2012.

And I know that you guys will flame me for this, but in this case it is seriously overreaction. There are situations where punishment is justified. This isn't one. It is just because these gamers were girls. If he wrote something similar about male gamers, no fucks would have been given. And yes it is not a professional attitude, but nothing to rage about in this extent.

People overreacting to some stupid shit (especially Tweets) is so political correct that I would rather puke than be like them. It is just some freaking tweet, no one is harmed by it. Seriously just chill. Agree. Political correctness tilts me.

If you're someone that people pay to see, or someone pays you (or your team) to be seen then you are expected to act a certain way. + Show Spoiler + people who become famous because of negative behavior are expected to act that way I don't like that idea honestly. While Simple's tweet is obviously inapropriate and liquid probably wants to moderate his twitter thing a bit, athletes and by extension esport players shouldn't be role models. Not that long ago there was a bit of similar drama involving Sumail (EG dota2 player who is like 16yo) and some tweets that have since then been deleted and EG's manager response to the whole drama was this video which sums up the thing pretty well. I mean you can't really expect a 18yo boy who just plays cs all day to be a rolemodel, not being an asshat in public to the point that it tarnishes the image of your org is enough. Should liquid force him to moderate his twitter? yes. Should they force him to be a role model? fuck no.

This tweet doesn't mean we should hang the kid, but it's fair of TL to tell him to be careful with that stuff.

This tweet doesn't mean we should hang the kid, but it's fair of TL to tell him to be careful with that stuff. Agreed. Pretty much exactly what I was thinking.

It used to be that most of these issues could just be swept under the rug. Mass media eliminated some of that and now social media is essentially handing out lengths of rope... Some people are able to mature, others change careers (not always by choice).

Really hope TL does something about it, let's see how it's handled. And makes me sad as I thought he could be over his past retardedness, but apparently not yet. Grow up s1mple. Grow. fucking. up. And it is actually sexist. If that was just flame or something, it's just up to the team to let or not let it happen. This though, isn't something acceptable from anyone, pro player or not. I know this is long gone times, but I still remember of a TL that valued good mentalities... *sigh*

Then they should have paused or stopped the game. If you let them play it out the result shouldn't be fucked with. What if the losing team would have won the round despite having lag? Can you guarantee me that the round would have been also replayed? No. I understand why the admins are getting flag for their horrible decision.

I quite remember well the 2011-2012 era of TL SC2. It's not that far. And I know I'm not the one who felt a difference after the Liquid - Curse merge. I'm not really judging that, just that I preferred the approach (or at least what I saw as) the TL Pro from 2011-2012. Is that still hilarious? How does that feel exactly? Maybe I'm completely blindfolded and don't really realize what I imply with that, but that's how I feel nonetheless.
