In HOTS it was hard but possible to hold 2-base roach all-ins if you played mech. You needed to scout it in time, position your tanks well and make sure that they could not break your wall.
In LOTV it does seem nearly impossible to hold 2-3 base all-ins of raver/roach?
Tanks in small numbers can hold off roaches if you are in good defensive position. But ravagers really seem to just roll over tanks if the tank count is small?
Is the solution to go really early banshees? But how do you get enough banshees so that you can kill off his attack before he breaks down the wall to your main and roll in with his army?
Does anyone have an opener, replay or some tips on how to hold 2-3 base ravager/roach all ins?

tank medivac micro or banshees do really well vs this. imo banshees are super underused still in LotV although they are superstrong with their LotV buffs. i guess helion banshee liberator openings will be a thing in Lotv...maybe 1 banshee into liberator if you dont see a roach push coming will be a very strong opening.

Tank medivax with banshee will block it.
Make sure you rebuild wall asap during or after the all in or lings will break in

I think you have to build a banshees or tank/medivacs and be harassing them during their entire march across the map. Not super possible in 1v1, but this is how we're attempting to stop it in Archon mode. But have no idea how to stop creep from eating the entire map if early roach ravagers gain map control.
I hate the term all-in. *shudders* I wish this community would just call it an attack.

Liberators or tank drop build are the best because you can kill for free roach/ravager forever. Banshees are not very good because the zerg player can bring some queens.
Usually the zerg player has to wait before he gets corruptor/mutalisk because these 2 threats (drops and liberators) don't allow him to leave his base with roach/ravager.

don't expand too fast. leave something to scout for third base/saturation.
if you dont see a lot of lings, not a lot of saturation at nat or not saturation at a third base, you could be getting roach/ravager'd. scan the main for a lair and 4th gas (since you've seen the natural) to make sure its not 2 base muta.
you should have probably opened up with tank drops, in which case micro your siege tanks back whenever roaches get close or ravagers use bile. if you didn't and you opened bio, swap your starport to a tech lab for a banshee. if you opened up liberators, make sure that your libs are targeting a ramp, in fog.
