I never said anything was owed. Loosen up? It's not about being owed time or coming off as an egotistical jackass. It's about simple respect to peoples wishes. The community gains nothing from learning an AKA. Yet a player has more to lose. Don't bring up, "then game privately" because no one has people working clock-work on their /f list to play certain maps over and over. Especially at the skill level required. Gaming and preparing for a tournament are two different things.
A tournament puts money into the equation and say you have a chance at $10,000 but someone lessens that chance because, "it's fun" to know who someone is. When in reality, it really isn't. $10,000 isn't serious enough a reason? Or god forbid, $25,000? What is this, the peoples press? Do people really have a right to know?
As I said previously, the rest of the year I don't care. And I know the argument isn't going to work on the community. I am simply stating it's gay. I don't expect it, nor demand it, or anything else.

u know, its a tad ironic how you bring up the issue of how 'important' tournaments are. Yet you, as well as a myriad of other gamers often claim to never practice for them, wait till 1 week before to practice, or say you didnt even care about it. Not once has a North American player ever came out before a tournament and said, im practicing my ass off, i hope to do well. After all, its only 25,000? The kors have no idea who most of the foreigners are, or what they could do strat wise, thats a an edge, one you've used quite well to be the only foreigner to beat kors in tournaments, never the series, but still, its a feat. Anyone competing in the USA WCG already knows about their opponent, much more so than at wcg finals. Knowing someone's AKA isnt going to affect it things in the overall outlook on the tournament. 1 mis click with a reaver and shuttle > having heard he might like to go reavers in pvt. BW isnt that perfect, the toss could even have obs fast, and see the 2 turrets in main and 2 tanks and not even go for it, but just ferry units, along with goons/zeals and attack the main that way. You are arguing over a very minor detail that kors have to deal with everyday. Stop being children. In the past, the WCG USA finals has always been just a free trip to the finals. Froz was the only one to get out of the groups for USA. Whoever gets D group, has a chance to go into brackets, but even then, does that person really have a chance for top 3? You guys are arguing over random matters that wont really affect things in the long run anyways.

Yeah was thinking same thing LumberJack about Testie and practise But hey, This new map "8th wonder" looks horribly imbalanced terran map, what you guys think?
|
Froz and Day (Day got out of his group in 2004, and lost to Xellos) . As far as I can recall... Nony and Day both have been pretty upfront about the amount of time they put in practicing and have clearly stated their desires to do well.
Which in my opinion is a pretty cool thing... so many people want to seem cool by saying "o ya, I'm not going to practice at all for this, or I just played a few games the week before". Either, they actually didn't practice (sucks for them), or they did practice but are trying to downplay their efforts to make themselves seem better than they really are...
anyways, I like Nony and Day for that... and I also like Froz because he owns =D and I hope they all do well (well not Day, since he isn't playing this year).

is it just me or did all the koreans disappear? only met 2 koreans in 30~ games and looking at the top of the ladder more than half the flags are non-korean..

seems very strange to me that testie would use a nal account to smurf if he wanted to smurf. i'd expect him to have a korean or someone outside korea make him an accout if he wanted to.

Smurfs or not, I would really like a replaypack from a good zerg by the end of the season!
Good luck have fun in WCG qualifiers all of you!
