Because, like I pointed out, Sound is one of the more successful B-teamers across both eSF and Kespa in terms of tangible results. He's proven himself multiple times to be a talented player, and with Red Bull looking to get more involved in SC2, that would only brighten his prospects. Besides, if he really wasn't earning enough from SC2, he could just own online tournaments like other Korean players did before their eventual breakout/resurgence (see: HyuN, Revival, San, Creator etc)

I was wondering why his name was scored through in the WCS AM Challenger League groups (looked everywhere and couldn't find any info). Guess this explains it.

Axiom-Acer and Prime confirmed worst teams evah :D Also, groups are auto-formed should you lose in bracket stage, so since Sound forfeit it there, he was auto-placed in group. Like Idra.

Its hard to be doing something that you love when the people you love tell you not to. Maybe his parents just felt that he needed to continue education, i would say its the right time for it considering the summer is ending. (Idk if korean schools are the same time as ours) It just seems like he made a valid point saying that his parents might have put pressure on him.

However going "durr he only won $6k no wonder he retired" is an absurdly stupid claim. And I have reason to believe it's the latter.

Not to mention he's had better results than most Kespa and eSF B-teamers. So yeah it's a bit presumptuous to claim that's what "family issues" means in this case. I believe I heard some time ago that StarTale only payed two people salaries Bomber, and July at the time... The korean scene most of the time does not pay their players salaries so it's understandable that they can't help and support their parents.
