they aren't even in control of JD, really. and if they pull out of Korea, leaving him with no team house, he could very easily say "it's been fun, everyone" and head back to Green Wings
Pretty sure they are in control of him since he signed with them, i doubt they would get rid of the team house tho with how much better they have been doing lately.
they did not sign him, they have him on loan until November. and if they pull out of Proleague, which is looking more and more likely, they don't have much of a reason to keep a Korean team house.
I don't know why people cling to this idea that kespa has any control over jd. They couldn't even keep innovation from leaving instead of joining another kespa team.
I doubt he will waste his time before he has to go to the military living in a cramped apartement with 20 other dudes, almost never leaving korea.
he lives in a team house right now, bro. and we have no idea how important proleague is or is not to JD. but I would bet he is a little more interested in it than you seem to be.
He looks more invested/emotional in the foreign tournaments that he went to than when he played PL it seems to me. Given how joining EG has been so good for JD, I seriously doubt he would prefer T8 over EG.
it's a little easier to be invested when you are winning than it is when you are playing sub-500 starcraft on a last place team.
Now with stx disbanding. Who will be the next sc2 kespa team to lose sponsorship and go under? How long is the sponsorship for team 8 anyways? Will they be around for more than one season?

Team 8 is kespa's orphanage for players that used to have a team. I'm assuming that it'll stay around for as long as kespa is willing to pay for those players to play.

T8 is now sponsered just like every other Kespa team.

Certainly there would be big bidders for one of the best players in the world, did Acer really come out on top?
Also I can't imagine INnoVation in that green acer hoodie lol.
Maybe because on acer he can go to foreign tournaments, have more freedom and still play in korean teamleagues.
As for EG maybe they don't want him, who knows.
That what Kaoru said about how they manage to recruit MMA. In EG, they have to stream & use Razer mouse and keyboard, wheeas Acer let them use their iwn stuff
iirc Huk uses the 6gv2 steelseires keyboard isnt he ? lol
Apparently not: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Pro_gear But it's may be old. Anyway, I just talked about what Kaoru said, i Acer, they are more "free" that in EG, and that's why MMA go to Acer (partly)

Thank you Vega! Your comment made me go back and redo the overlay, and now it looks even better! The "nook" in the silhouette matches perfectly with the portrait image on wiki.teamliquid.net.
My guess is that they might have used this very image to create the silhouette composit.

Acer isn't even that high profile of a team, maybe its different perspectives in Europe but when i think of European teams acer isnt exactly the first that comes to mind. Dont think acer will blow the money on a high end kespa player and even if they wanted to why would they want to play for acer, they dont even have there own teamhouse
Acer got a teamhouse in Germany and in Korea they were in the Axiom teamhouse
Its going to be welmu, mark this post and use it as reference on the 1st.
I don't think it's going to be welmu by the color of the hand on Scarlett's shoulder. Welmu is a very pale kid and the pigmentation of the hand that's on Scarlett's shoulder is a bit darker, so by context I'm going to go with the new player being a Korean.
Among the koreans, I'm not sure anymore whether the new player will actually be Terran anymore. Still, Acer.Innovation would be cool but I'm probably going way off lol.
innovation will never be a member of Acer, just like Lebron James will never be a member of the Charlotte Bobcats. Stars dont play for mediocre teams. I cant believe how many people think this is actually going to happen or they just like to live in a dream world. Innovations team just won proleague, and STX will match anything Acer would give him to keep him on the team. Plus, he gets to keep living and training with other high end Koreans, and not mma/scarlett/nerchio. STX easily has players just as good if not better and people dont even know who they are because they arnt foreigners or past gsl champions. Yeah it would be cool, in a fantasy world.

Just a small-town Korean, living in a fantasy worlddddddd, took a midnight train going toooooooooo aaaaaaaaaacerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I don't find anyone mention this(tell me if I am wrong): Fomos released an article about STX SOUL and Acer. In the article: STX SOUL staff told Fomos that they actually had contacted with Acer before, but no contract has been made. It seems like Acer approached the player himself during the season final and made some decisions, which makes STX SOUL embarrassed.

I remember there being some controversy about this with the Korean EG signings - foreigner custom is to contact the player personally, but this is considered 'under-the-table' to Korean teams.
